I’m not even joking, I know this sounds ridiculous but this subway has a pickle police.
This is the second time I’ve went recently and the same employee has made the subs.
I was not impressed, thought maybe it was just a one off but the second time same thing happened.
Extremely lacking when it comes to adding any veggies on your sub. I don’t know what the deal is with pickles but especially pickles!
And when you’re a vegetarian and your sub literally consist of cheese and veggies, I’d like to actually taste cheese and a good amount of lettuce, green peppers, banana peppers etc. instead of just cheese and a hunk of bread. I know it’s not just me, I had someone with me ordering a sub also. They asked for more black olives and pickles on their tuna sub, we both asked nicely if she wouldn’t mind putting some more on both of ours and she had nothing to say and obviously didn’t want to. I’m sure there is probably a standard amount of how much they are allowed to add but we weren’t asking for an insane amount, considering it was already lacking from how much she had put on. We were even like we’ll pay extra, we don’t mind, could you please load it up!
I feel like it would have been fine, between the two of us we wouldn’t have depleted their pickle inventory on a Tuesday afternoon but apparently she thought so.
It’s whatever, it’s not the end of the world but I just needed to warn anyone who actually wants a good sub, just don’t bother from this subway!

Lost my appetite while waiting in line (I haven’t had subway in 6+months, just had a craving today). While waiting, the worker did multiple tasks while keeping the same gloves on. Not just starting them but finishing them after opening the large ovens/transferring trays/transferring breads/other tasks, then back to making the sandwiches. No attempt to remove the gloves when slipping on the large oven mitts, then back to making them again. She wasn’t handling money, but so many things were handled and touching food is a bit much. I didn’t purchase & didn’t want her to feel uncomfortable and doubtful it would have done any good. Just an FYI.

Worst thing ever, they can’t even read lettuce on a salad! Then when called and talked to a manager they gave me attitude and told me well then maybe don’t use the app and come in next time. But I’ll remake them if u come back in. Then just hangs up the phone. Thank you Amanda at the kalkaska store for making a pleasurable visit with me that I may not ever come back!

They made the sub really good. Everything was portioned out well and balanced. The sandwich artists were nice to me as well. They didn’t let us sub out a meat like we wanted to for the deal but that’s ok it’s not their fault.
Good job subway

Ps the register makes a clown noise and I like it.

My son and I walked in and were the only 2 customers in the place. Two workers were (very slowly) making sandwiches for an online order. Neither greeted us, both avoided eye contact with us. We just stood there. Finally we left. Do better Subway! Geez.

This was my first time going to subway; I teach at a nearby liberal arts college, and i was curious after hearing that their “sandwich artists” were inspired by Andy Warhol’s Factory to create massive edible art installations. To my surprise, the “sandwich artists” were normal fast-food employees, with no director directing the aesthetics of the sandwich art-making.

Nonetheless, they graciously made me the most avant-garde sandwich possible within the undoubtedly draconian boundaries of corporate sandwich shop policies: banana peppers, arranged in the shape of a banana, on whole grain bread. I called it “the Warhol.”

5 stars! I will be coming back

I’ve seen the collective conscious of humanity fall apart in front of me, suffering on their hands and knees together in a cage of carnage and I was a prisoner of the tyranny of mass corruption; I was an individual with my hands tied to my knees, my corporeal form moved to action by strings sown into my psyche. In this subway, I was liberated, I found the white light of ether and it embodied my form to the cast of an angel. I will never forget this and I’ll yearn for this for the rest of my life as now I’m back onto the streets, once again another representative of the destitution of moral collapse bound to the repetition of sentience day in and day out until I again find this white light and become reincarnated as the patron saint of symphonic castration. I’ll see you next life.
