The food was impeccable, we decided on the tuna tartare, crab cake, caesar, mac n cheese, Brussel sprouts, filet, and strip. We ended with the s’mores dessert and OMG we practically licked the plate clean.
Everything was so flavorful and we couldn’t decide on what was our favorite because everything was so delicious.
The staff went above and beyond to take care of us and we felt so special. Our server Serene was so friendly and knowledgeable, we felt very lucky to have such a wonderful server!
This has to be one of the best meals I’ve ever had (and I am literally a world traveler).
We came to Nashville to celebrate my 38th and we stayed at The JW Marriott. We made a reservation at Bourbon and they did not disappoint.
The hostess was very pleasant upon arrival and sat us right away. Our waiter, his name isJohn and he was Amazing! He’s was very knowledgeable of the menu and helped walk us through it. He even made sure about any allergies and how to navigate around those with the menu.
Since it was our first time eating there, he walked us through the menu based on popular, the based on what we liked pallet wise and then we even asked for his favorites and he gave us those as well. A friend of mine has a seafood allergy and I am allergic only to shrimp so between the 3 of us, what we were served was right on queue.
They stay you off with a flight of their homemade French fries that are different flavors and are paired with different sauces for each flavor. As a lover of fries, this was the best start for me LOL! The fries are complimentary or included in the meal. Each table gets. We ordered some appetizers and I have to say, the butternut squash ravioli and the Cesar salad were our faves!
Then the main course happened and .
I had the pork chop which was so juicy and flavorful. It was paired with this cherry “jam” and the pairing was just perfect. Both of my friends had the filet and the kitchen got it right on how they like it cooked. The sides we got were the truffle Mac, the mashed potatoes and the creamed spinach and all 3 were literally made to perfection. The Mac n cheese was so creamy and the truffle wasn’t overwhelming, it was on point. The creamed spinach reminded me of how my dad used to make it (soft and flavorful) and the potatoes were creamy and soft. They were topped with chives and it added to the flavor. However, with all of that being said, the star of the show (at least for me and one of my friends) was the Lobster pot pie. I don’t know what magic they used to make the sauce for that pot pie, but from how it was presented to the softness of the lobster meat and the taste of the sauce, it was the highlight dish of the whole meal.
Dessert was delicious! I have to say out of all 3 desserts they have on the menu, the s’mores one, tops them all (if you like chocolate and aren’t allergic to peanuts). Second best was the sorbet.
We also had drinks and the bartender nailed it!
I ended up needing to have something with ginger because I ate too much ( ) and I ask John to see if he could ask the bartender to make me something non-alcoholic with ginger beer and the bartender delivered!
Also, want to mention Hailey who was the assistant waiter with John. She was wonderful and helped make our experience just as amazing as it was.
The atmosphere was welcoming and made you feel comfortable. The view is also the best because you can see most of the city (since we’re 34 floors up) through the beautiful glass windows that surround the restaurant.
When I am back in Nashville, this is someplace I will come and eat again. Worth every penny and bite!
Thank you John and Hailey (sorry if I’m spelling it wrong) for making our night and for the recommendations of what to do in Nashville! Can’t wait to see you guys again.
Thank you to the kitchen team and all the staff for delivering excellence with every step! Well done!
Please come and dine here! You won’t be disappointed at all.
And the food, absolutely outstanding. Every dish was thoughtfully prepared, beautifully presented, and bursting with flavor. It exceeded every expectation and left a lasting impression.
This is the kind of place that reminds you what dining out should feel like. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for an unforgettable meal and a truly elevated dining experience.
Located on the 34th floor of the JW Marriott, the city views were incredible and created the perfect setting for a special night. Nick the quick haha, the manager, was absolutely fabulous — welcoming, professional, and made sure everything was perfect. Our server Zavyon provided excellent service and menu suggestions that were spot on.
The food was phenomenal. The Delmonico ribeye was bursting with natural flavor, and the pan-seared sea bass was the best I’ve ever had. The creamed spinach was superb and paired perfectly with our meal.
And the highlight of the evening: the fat-washed wagyu smoked Old Fashioned — the presentation was truly one of a kind and unforgettable.
Service, atmosphere, and food were all top-tier. Even traveling from LA, I can honestly say this experience made the trip worth it. Thank you Bourbon Steakhouse
The duck fat fries were a standout: perfectly crisp, rich without being heavy, and genuinely memorable. Service was attentive and gracious throughout; our server was personable, professional, and clearly took pride in making the evening feel special. The team went out of their way to acknowledge our anniversary, which added a thoughtful, personal touch that didn’t feel scripted.
Overall, Bourbon Steak combines excellent food, polished service, and a beautiful setting into a dining experience that feels truly celebratory. A great choice for milestones or any occasion where you want the night to feel a little elevated.

Creative cocktail menu and extensive Old Fashioned choices.
Went with the Blanton’s Gold and then did the Reserve which is smoked and prepared table side.
The bacon appetizer was delicious and we also had Duck Fries as lagniappe. We had two filets and the puree potatoes. Our table neighbors got the Lobster pot pie and said it was incredible as well. We should have gotten one filet and the Lobster and split them!!!
The staff was friendly and helpful and offered great suggestions for dinner. It is on the pricey end but is worth it!!!
For a special evening in Nashville, you can’t go wrong with Bourbon Steak.
