Was recommended to come here from a friend that is from Birmingham. She said it was one of her favorite BBQ spots in Birmingham area and I did not leave disappointed; the brisket was good, the baby back and spare ribs were great and the cheese biscuits were awesome! Will definitely make my way back here next time I am in town.

Food was excellent and came out quickly. Scheduled a reservation but it wasn’t needed. Jill was our server and she was very attentive, knowledgeable and provided a warm experience. Definitely recommend this restaurant for some delicious BBQ! Ordered pulled pork and lean brisket but my favorite had to be the cheddar/jalapeno sausage!

Susie was PHENOMENAL! We needed for nothing in her section! So glad that we got her today because she made our visit so amazing we would definitely come back to see her! Really good BBQ chicken with white sauce, something that I don’t think I’ve ever ordered before, and the collard greens were terrific even before I added the hot vinegar. The baked beans were a little too sweet and unfortunately, trying to be low carb I didn’t try the biscuits. Service was good for our table of 10 with our waiter keeping up once he recovered from multiple tables being seated at once. The bathrooms were clean, as was the restaurant itself. I would definitely return, though less frequently given that the prices are sky-high, like $23 for 12 wings.

Natalie and the crew always takes such great care of us and the food is always fresh and delicious. The restaurant is within close walking distance to our office which makes it convenient to frequent. I’ve always experienced the same consistency on our many trips to Jim ’n Nicks at this location! Even when visiting the restaurant with family on weekend evenings, we still receive great consistent service and quality. The outdoor patio seating is my favorite and I love we can sit there almost year round.

Great food, great service and friendly atmosphere. It did not take long for our server to visit our table to get our drink orders. She quickly returned with our drinks and took our dinner orders. During our dinner the manager stopped by our table to chat and be certain we were happy and comfortable with the food and service. No complaints. When you go to Jim ‘n Nicks be sure to try the baby back ribs. They are the best.

The smoked honey habanero wings were amazing. The carolina mustard wings were different but still good. One of us got the 2 meat and side combo, the other the loaded potato with smoked turkey and the smoked jalapeño sausage. Everything was cooked perfect with just the right amount of seasoning. Definitely recommend!

Went for a good meal because they always deliver, but I specifically had to tell the manager how great our server (Jill) was. She was the most proactive server I’ve ever encountered, including fancy restaurants. She brought us sauces we contemplated so we could try both, brought to-go drinks proactively, had to-go boxes in hand when she asked if we needed them, and honestly probably a lot of other things I didn’t even realize. The food and atmosphere were comforting and allowed my husband and I to have a lovely lunch date before my maternity leave ended, so it made the whole experience feel perfect. Thanks, you all!!
