I love Outback . I have visited several across the country and received great service and food. On Sunday Feb. 8,2026 about 2 pm I visited the Jackson Michigan restaurant with a friend. Our server Gabe was friendly and attentive to our orders.
When my well done chopped steak w gravy and mashed potatoes came out, there was a bloody stain across the end of the plate. We couldn’t distinguish what the stain could be or from what. I asked my server re it and he asked if I wanted a new plate and of course I did. I was surprised and in unbelief that food would be allowed to be presented in this way. It totally killed my appetite and I felt nauseous. The floor mgr brought my new plate out and apologized for the “dirty” plate. She took the cost off of our bill but that was a terrible experience. A couple other friends were at a seperate table and stated their plates were dirty and food had to be sent back as well. I hate I didn’t take a photo!!

We have been coming here starting a couple of months ago and we are so happy and impressed. Our waitress, Yemari has been the same the past three times we have come and we absolutely love her. She is so sweet, kind, and we always have such amazing interactions with her. Our daughter gave her a hug tonight and she just leaned right in for the hug, no hesitation! Which just speaks absolute volumes about her! Our food is always delicious and made to order. And we always have so much fun when we come in!! Thank you for such amazing service, we will continue to come back and request Yemari every single time!
All the other staff is amazing too, from the hostess to other wait staff helping to bring out food.

It’s hard to give a better rating, or even a decent review, to a restaurant when you can’t even get anyone to look at you long enough to take your name to be seated. Even when my husband asked what the wait would be (after waiting almost 5 minutes to even be acknowledged we were standing in front of the hostess station), we had to wait for an answer for a solid minute and a half.
There was no “We’ll be right with you.”
No “Sorry about the wait.”
No “It’s a little busy tonight; give me two minutes.”
No eye contact. At. All.

The service was really good. My Cobb salad with salmon was not. The Cobb salad on the menu listed avacado, bacon, eggs cheese. Of these items, there was only cheese and a few cherry tomatoes and croutons with iceberg lettuce. I was so disappointed…. Usually salads these days are made with romaine lettuce. The salmon on the salad was very good and cooked perfectly. However, I learned to not order entre salads at Outback.
My husband was happy with the burger he got. There were 4 other people in our party. I believe their meals were ok. It was my brother’s birthday – and he got free ice cream.

This visit was a great experience. Our waitress Thalia R was amazing and did a phenomenal job. Drinks were filled quickly before we had finished the entire glass. Food was hot and delicious. I would definitely recommend the signature Cheese Fries and Blooming Onion. Also the Chocolate Lava Brownie a perfect way to end the meal.

Haven’t been to Outback in a few years, but had a gift card, so my family and i went in for lunch around 1 pm on a Sunday. The food was decent, server was very nice and took care of us. My only real criticism is the time it takes to get your food. Plan to wait a while if you’re going in for a meal. The restaurant was not busy at all. It was probably an hour and 30 minutes total.

My sister and I came in the other day and had Benjamin as our server..he made our experience the best one I’ve ever had at outback..he was HILARIOUS, thoughtful, and prompt. We will definitely be asking for him from now on! The food was great too!

WOAH! The food was perfect, affordable and friendly staff. Everything you could ever want for a 5 star restaurant at an affordable cost. Went on a Friday night when similar places were a 2 hour wait and only waited 15 minutes for yummy food!!

Outback can be a little hard to get to right now because of road construction on the I-94 interchange, but if you are looking for a good Outback meal, don’t let that keep you away. Our pork chops and filet were done as we asked. Our server was friendly and attentive. We came at 2:00 pm on a Sunday and we were seated immediately.
