I love coming to Centraal for any meal! The restaurant is large with outdoor seating in nicer weather and the staff is so friendly! Breakfast is definitely one of my favorites as their rosemary potatoes are a highlight. The menu is large enough but doesn’t feel overwhelming. There are plenty of options for food and drink!
This most recent visit we stopped in for brunch. I enjoyed the Sausage & Pancake Griddlers, a unique and delicious breakfast sandwich. My husband got the Cheesy gooey Spicy Mess, that looked delicious. We were so excited to eat we forgot to take pictures!
We expect to be back again soon!

One of a handful of Lowland Groups managed restaurants and one of the original still anchoring Kinnickkinnick and Locust in the Bayview neighborhood. Magnificent selection of brews and a wonderfully tasty menu. Annually, this and all other Lowland Group locations honor veterans with a free meal. The atmosphere is reminiscent of a Flemish/Belgian/Dutch/French pub with a steady rotation of new brews to quench all types of palettes. Staff are always nice. Lovely outdoor seating area during the warmer months as well.

We had our wedding reception at Centraal Cafe and would highly recommend it to anyone considering! We were in the courtyard area in October so it was covered and heated and the vibes were magical. We got so many compliments from our guests on the food and the service, everyone was taken care of and our servers checked on us constantly. We worked with Molly, the events coordinator, throughout our planning and she was awesome. Quick to respond to any questions, clear in communication, and very helpful in providing us suggestions. We had a great experience and would highly recommend!

This place has been on my list for a while so I was excited to try it for dinner. First of all I love the atmosphere inside, it’s very open and has a pretty interior design with a large open bar. They have a large dink menu including a wide selection of beers and cocktails. I had the chili salmon cucumber bowl which was so good I would order it again. The flavor was incredible and the salmon was cooked perfectly. They also have kids menus available for the little ones.
I would have loved to check out their patio but it was way too hot when we went, so I’ll guess I’ll have to go back to check out their patio and brunch!

Centraal Grand Café and Tappery – Milwaukee, WI
We stopped in for an early breakfast and were pleasantly surprised by how much we loved this spot. The Tomatoes and Mushrooms Omelet was absolutely amazing—fluffy, flavorful, and perfectly balanced. The real standout, though, was the Crispy Avocado Eggs Benedict—crispy on the outside, creamy on the inside, and topped with perfectly poached eggs. So good!
The vibe was cozy and inviting, with a touch of European charm, and the staff made us feel welcome from the moment we walked in. Whether you’re just grabbing a casual breakfast or meeting friends for brunch, Centraal is definitely worth a visit.

First of all, we only went here because the sushi place, we were SUPPOSED to go to, effed up and we had to find someplace else… stopped at one place that was just a bar and they suggested Centraal. We went in, had a wonderful waitress – Ty (seriously- so sweet and helpful!) – and I was BEYOND happy with my Chili Salmon Cucumber Bowl. Literally, I want more! My husband also very happy with the Sirloin Soba Bowl. We will definitely be coming back and asking for Ty as our waitress! (Also- getting the salmon bowl!)

Very nice place with a good menu. Nice brunch or lunch options. I love corned beef hash and fruit anytime it is on the menu. They didn’t have it but had a pulled beef hash with peppers and onion topped with eggs and it was very good with a nice kick. I will return when I am in town. Everyone else enjoyed their food too

Enjoyed an amazing Easter brunch in the beautiful courtyard. Food outstanding. Atmosphere cozy and comfortable. Service top notch. Highly recommend stopping here for a drink or meal. Everyone’s food was fantastic! Loved my greens and grains scramble. Rose mimosas… yes! Boozy coffees were the after brunch drink I never knew I needed. Appetizer donuts slightly overcooked but still delicious.

We loved the vibe and atmosphere of the room. I was worried it wouldn’t be warm enough being glass doors as walls but it was fine on our 11 degree day. We had 28 guests and any more would get a little crowded. We had a table for shower gifts and a small table for cake! The food was wonderful. Bailey and Hailey were the best!! Everyone got the drink they wanted promptly. I am eyeing the Brick patio for a summer event if needed!

We stopped in for lunch, and the service was fast, and the food was on the spot; as for the beer selection, well, if you have a hard time choosing something, you will be here awhile since their beer menu is rather extensive but sometimes just randomly picking something might be magic in a bottle, either way, it’s a fun place to gather with friends
