We were nervous because the reviews were kind of iffy. However, the food was amazing! Nice and different from the same old same old you get everywhere else. We had 8 people and split the pierogies, corn fritters, Mac and cheese, and corn bread for apps. All amazing! Best I’ve had. Dinners were chicken and waffles, fried chicken, jambalaya, and kids mac n cheese. Even the kids mac n cheese and fries were awesome! Definitely have leftovers. Only reason it’s not 5 stars is the service. Not a single smile the entire time… not just our waitress… but from any others either besides the hostess. Not friendly at all. Never checked on us to see if everything was OK. Needed to flag someone down just for more water. I mean, we spent $400 there. You’d think they’d take care of you a little more. We are a family that always STARTS calculating tip at 20% and then goes up from there if service was above average, which is usually more often than not. I understand we were 6 adults, so it’s typical to add gratuity automatically on the bill. This is one of only a few instances where I wouldn’t have left a full tip. I probably would’ve done 15%. But they automatically put 20% on, which kind of stank. That was very generous for the moody service we received. But will still go back. Delicious!

Great food and atmosphere. Authentic Cajun style cuisine. Offers sidewalk, indoor and back patio dining suitable nearly year-round. Would recommend the salmon, catfish and ribs based upon meals there. Desserts can be large so prepare to share! There is a bar area for drinks and food with television.

Service, atmosphere and food were all super good here. The pricing was also pretty fair, definitely want to try out more stuff from menu. My wife is not daring when it comes to food, but after one spoon of the gumbo she was sold on everything else.

Brussels sprouts delicious. So was cornbread. Pierogis with crab were ok, as was brisket po boy. The fries were cooked in old oil and nasty. My kid’s kids meal was sitting waiting outside kitchen for ten mins — after we emphasized he is a slow eater when putting his order immediately in. $4 for a kids apple juice is ridiculous. That was on top of mediocre chicken kids meal for $9 — taking advantage of proximity to Crayola?. It’s a big space but when we visited there were very few customers and a lot of staff scattered. Our waiter alternated between absent and asking to box up food and dropping off bill while we were eating. Place itself is pretty with pleasant music.

This was the most amazing southern food I have ever had! We were looking for a last minute dinner place and my boyfriend’s uncle recommended this place. The food was absolutely amazing and the desserts are top tier! The Mac n cheese was so good! My boyfriend had the chicken and waffles and I had the catfish and oh my god…I was living my best life! I highly recommend this place to everyone!

Have heard a lot about this place and so happy we were able to finally stop in and try it. I tried out the Voodoo signature cocktail and it was sweet and strong! Definitely gave a lot of tropical vibes. We also got the hush puppies. These were perfectly crisp and well seasoned. It was also clear these were made fresh, the jalapenos in them were bright green and had lots of flavor. Chimichurri sauce was also great. I had the Nashville hot chicken sandwich and it was outstanding. The bun was toasted and the chicken had the perfect crunch. It was really moist and well seasoned. The pickles were great. My only complaint was that it could use a little more hot sauce. I also LOVE very spicy food so I’m sure the amount that it comes with is plenty for most people!
