Frankie Gianino’s is named in honor of Bill Gianino’s father Frankie, who was a longtime restaurateur in St. Louis. While Frankie is no longer with us, his ideas and recipes live with us now. Some of his original menu creations have been enjoyed at Bill Gianino’s Restaurant for over 41 years. These recipes have now been passed on to Billy and Tony, Bill’s sons, from our homemade Red Sauce to Frankie’s Original Pizzas.

Family-recipe Italian dishes & American comfort food in a casual, airy space with a bar & patio.

arrived 11/15/25 11am. we stood 10 min with 15 other customers until the bartender came around to seat everyone.
we ordered the Tortellini and the Tutto Mare, waited 45 minuets to get our food. when the food arrived, you could tell it sat for a while on the pass because the sauce on top was dried out. there was no crab in the Tutto Mare, and when I asked our waitress “Emma H.” all she said was “oh they dice up the crab in small pieces and mix it in with the sauce” no, sorry there is no crab! and why are the shrimp rubbery and still have the tails on them? I didn’t order a pasta dish that I had to stick my fingers in the sauce and remove the shrimp tails! the pasta on both dishes’ where under cooked/doughy, both sauces where bland tasting with no hint of seasoning garlic, salt, pepper. The worst thing about the whole visit was the waitress “Emma H” never offered to take back the dishes to be correctly prepared, and pretty much ignored us until she brought to-go containers and our bill. terrible service and terrible food for charging $20.99 & 26.99 for PASTA!
At this point we do NOT recommend this restaurant.

I’ve been to Frankie Gs before and was impressed by the food. We ate there tonight, and I’ve had better food from a mediocre buffet than what we were served. French fries were hard, you couldn’t even chew them. I ordered their “Best corned beef in St. Louis ” reuben and it was not good. it was overcooked. the corned beef was more like beef jerky. my daughter’s steak was tough. Definitely not worth $40. The house salad and ceasar salad was the only thing that tasted good. I take that back, their crab cakes were good, but I have had better. when our server was taking plates, she didnt even ask about or pick up mine , which Im sure it was because she didnt want me to say anything. Not her fault it wasnt good, but she should have asked if everything was good but she didnt. Won’t be going back.

Pasta carbonara was awful. I do not recommend. Dry and flavorless. Barely any bacon. Waitress brought me more sauce and stll was dry. Took this picture after adding pepper and parmesan cheese once home. Eating for lunch today and threw it away. It got pizza here last year. Should have stuck with that.

The pretzel bites are amazing. The Rueben was delicious also. The server was a little slow on getting us drinks and then the check but good service overall. I do need to praise the person who brought out our pretzel bites, (wasn’t our server) they dropped one and made sure to send us two extra! Out to our table!! They went above and beyond and really deserve to be recognized!

Beautiful restaurant, clean and very well put together.
Service was amazing. We were seated immediately. Our server was kind and friendly. Very helpful to answer all of the questions I asked about the menu and help me choose my meal. Very quick to bring extra drinks to our table. And clear empty plates.
Food is delicious! We got pretzel bites as an appetizer and it was absolutely amazing! My date ordered a burger and I ordered a chicken skidini sandwich. Both were delicious!
My date was very sweet, he’s super hot!! He even paid for the meal. 10/10

This location has no consistency. This particular trip was probably my worst. We never did get our salads and my pasta was very bland. Pretty sure they forgot the garlic in my cream sauce, and the pasta lacked sauce all together. You can’t win them all! But the icing on the cake was the fact that our server lacked any kind of empathy. She could care less about our forgotten salads. Almost rude about it. I will just continue to drive to the Telegraph location. Food and service is top notch over there.

I thought I had a salad before…But this Spinach Chicken Cranberry salad was fabulous. It had all the right amounts of onion, cranberry, candied walnuts and blue cheese. Perfect amount for 2 people to share, but I don’t share my food! So I ate every last spinach leaf. Jayden, in the kitchen, really knows how to toss a salad! G’s House salad was a meal for another of our peeps and as you can see he was excited to enjoy it. My daughter ordered the Pesto Spaghetti and felt it was creamy and had the right amount of herbs. She is the only one that got a togo box. Our server, John, was wonderful to. We had everything we needed without asking. Frankie G’s is always keeping the best staff!

We always come to here to get the Chicken Modiga. Yesterday, I purchased the Chicken Modiga for my husband’s birthday and it was HORRIBLE! It looked like a fried chicken with a dash of sauce on it. Yuck! I hope they can rectify this otherwise we will no longer order food from them.

Food was amazing. Had the grouper. Excellent!!! Bartender was extremely nice and very efficient. They were very busy, it was Friday night. Worth the wait grouper was cooked to perfect. Salad and entrée would have been plenty for 2 people.

Some of the best Italian food in the area! Primer portion sizes are HUGE! Everyone is nice each time we come here. My only complaint is that they’re usually very busy and seem to not have enough staff on hand. Other than that, everything is great. I recommend getting the fried pickles and toasted ravioli for appetizers. The pasta con broccoli, lasagna, and pizzas they have are great! They have really good salads as well. Photos of the menu are attached!
