We were visiting Tampa for the weekend, and we were trying some Colombian food. We were a group of 9, and we decided to visit MiTierra, and this place was exceptional. Our order was taken by Sharon, and she was impressive and very attentive. Sharon paid attention to everything, and we felt like at home. The food was above and beyond. Service exceptional. Taste (very authentic). You can create your own lunch special with different options (soup, proteins, and sides). They also have like a small bakery and candy shop. There are enough parking spots outside. I will be back again when I am in Tampa, and I highly recommend this place

Today we decided to try a new place in Tampa. It’s called Mi Tierra Latina 2. We were greeted with great welcome upon entering the establishment. We choose to try the beef empanadas for and appetizer. I have to say these were the BEST empanadas I have EVER had. The outside was not the traditional flaky crust that I have been accustomed to. It was more of a corn meal and potatoe shell kind of crust. It came with 2 different sauces a red hot sauce which was very flavorful and a green cilantro sauce which was very cool and refreshing to the palate. I loved both the sauces I actually mixed them together ❤️. For a main course my husband chose the grilled pork loin, yellow rice, tostones and salad platter. I chose the grilled steak, grilled pork, Columbian sausage, egg, sweet plantains, rice beans and corn cake platter. The food was tasted amazing and the portions were more than generous. If needed you can definitely share a platter with someone!!!! I would give this restaurant a 5/5 on the GEMS of Tampa score card but there were no fish options available on the menu, also to be fair I didn’t ask if fish was available either, I just went off the menu options. I love to try fish from different cultures . Therefore I will give this place a 4.8 out of 5. Only because I can’t let my personal want for fish ruin a truly great dining experience.

This Colombian restaurant is a great place to enjoy delicious and authentic food. The portions are generous, and the flavors are amazing. The staff is very friendly and provides excellent service, making you feel right at home. Plus, the prices are very reasonable for the quality and quantity of food. They also have two locations—one in Town & Country and another on North Dale Mabry—making it even more convenient to visit. Definitely a place worth checking out!

Excellent selection of Spanish/Latino foods. Great prices. Deli food was amazing, portions were HUGE ( I had a Cuban sandwich the size of my forearm for $4 ) and the prices were super cheap. If you’re in the area you should definitely stop in.

Only thing I can fault here is the napkins. Food was outstanding, one of the best restaurant meals I have ever eaten. Tiny place but impeccably clean. Both my meal and my sons was so good we ate like pigs and loved every minute. Still had to take food home, he’s 6/5 I’m 6/0, not little people lol.
