Open Tuesday – Friday from 11 am to 9 pm, Saturday 4-10 pm. Happy hour from 3-5pm throughout the week & our new late night happy hour on Saturdays from 8-10pm! This was our first visit. The food was good with the highlights being the Truffle Pasta and the Cioppino. The service was good and the atmosphere was decent, but we thought the tables were too close together. Overall it was a good experience and we will surely be back.

I was so impressed with this establishment! We were visiting from out of town to celebrate our anniversary and found it after a google search. The food was fine dining quality at an extremely fair price! Everything we had was delicious from the appetizer to the salad to the entrees we ordered. I had a center cut filet and it may have been the best steak I’ve ever had! You could cut it with a fork. Upon learning we were celebrating a special occasion our thoughtful server offered us a delicious dessert at no cost! She insisted! Very kind, cheerful, and efficient which made for a perfect experience!

First time diners and what a pleasant surprise. Food was well seasoned and plated. Had the tuna steak and the porkchop, which was huge. The appetizer, fried greens tomatoes were good but very small portion and over priced. Our server was friendly and effective. Only mild dissatisfaction was the servers gather near the bar area and carry on non work conversations. I like the fact they take online reservations. All in all it was a pleasant experience and we would return.

We came here for a birthday party. They had a large table set up for us in the back, which I thought was great until we could barely hear each other over all the kitchen noise- kitchen staff talking about personal stuff, blender, dishes, etc.
We were there for happy hour (3-5pm), it was confusing what was half off and what wasn’t. Small plates are half off and the Dave’s Drop and Better Berry cocktail, wine and beer.
Our waiter was polite, but for the most part we felt like an inconvenience to him. Service was very slow and we had to ask for everything. To order, to get refills, to get our bill. It wasn’t busy at the time.
The food was quite good though some things were a bit more salty than I would like. Even the salt loving person in our group said some things were too salty for them. We highly recommend the sausage balls and baked mac and cheese off of the dinner menu (available after 4pm).
I ordered the spicy Paloma and I recommend it if you like savory drinks, it was perfectly spicy and balanced.
My husband tried to inform our waiter that the urinal was overflowing when you flushed it and he did not care.
Another party member had baked a cake and brought it to the restaurant. When greeted at the door she was told outside food wasn’t allowed, which I totally understand, but then they grabbed it from her and took it away without an explanation or anything. That seemed rude.

We’ve been to the Putnam Room at least 10 times. We obviously enjoyed it to return on many occasions, but the last two visits were underwhelming. Both times our food was lukewarm at best, with the last time being actually cold to the touch. When we got there for a 6:00 reservation there were two other tables seated so being busy wasn’t an issue. We ordered an appetizer, which came out within 10 minutes and was delicious. Our meal took over 30 minutes after ordering, which our server kept apologizing for. Disappointing! The real shame is we love the place! The service is outstanding and we love the atmosphere and the menu. I will add, when we brought the issue to our server’s attention, she was very remorseful and our meal was completely comped. This was very nice, but the fact is, we’d rather just have food served at the appropriate temperature than leave unhappy! Not sure if we’ll be back.
EDIT: Following your response, we won’t be back. Our server responded as anyone would who had unhappy customers. What I didn’t add was that she stated she touched the food and agreed it was cold. One meal was served the other sent back. And we did tip her, as I stated to her that she had done her job, and she didn’t want to take it, but we insisted. I never saw anything close to tears. Good luck.

First time in and we will be back. Tried the lamb and the filet. Cooked perfectly! Ariana helped us with our order and she was just lovely. Very casual feel yet a bit upscale. Huge bourbon, whisky and scotch menu.

Food was really good, my drink was ok, the appetizer ” The Dip” was very good. My steak was great. Hubby’s Beef in his stroganoff was tough, odd. But the flavor was good. The dessert was tasty. Our server was attentive, but I forgot her name, sorry. ( began with a B) The only problem were some “valley girls” at the bar talking super loud, disrupting our meal/ atmosphere.

Putnam room is my go to place. I love to introduce new friends to the very sophisticated atmosphere. The appetizers are amazing and the crabcakes beat any other crabcakes we tried in the Putnam County. The way staff is friendly and attentive. The food preparation and presentation is wonderful. It’s a really wonderful place to wind down after a hectic day so thank you chef for all your wonderful food. I’ll be back.

We’ve gone here twice and out of the dozen different dishes tried by us and our party, only the low country Mac and cheese was enjoyable. The whole menu is pretentious and does not deliver on taste. We wanted to like this place and gave it every chance, but it’s definitely in the bottom 5 restaurants in Cookeville for us.
