My family and I love Greek food, and since we recently moved to the north metro area, we are always on the lookout for new favorite spots. I’m really glad we decided to try Jawad Grill!
We ordered a Grilled Chicken Plate, some Gyro combos and a Gyro Pocket combo, and were so impressed by the flavor and presentation. Everything was cooked beautifully, too. My husband actually fist-bumped the staff as we were leaving to thank them for the meal and assure them we’d be back. Haha.
Heads up, the location and curb appeal are kinda lacking—I honestly don’t know if I would’ve stopped in if I hadn’t read the positive Google reviews. That’s why I’m posting my review! I wouldn’t want you to miss out on such yummy Greek food that’s just a few minutes from your front door. Enjoy!

Finally remembered to stop here for a dinner. Absolutely cannot believe how meaty and delicious these gyros were! Best I’ve ever had and a helluva deal! Meat Lover’s Gyro was a combination of a Philly Cheesesteak and traditional Gyro. Gyro meat was seasoned well and was nicely charred. Steak was juicy and super tender! Was really one of the best sandwiches I’ve eaten period Falafel was also quite tasty with the Tzatziki. Can’t wait to come back! If you love a well made Gyro, you ought to try these!

Jawad Grill has some of the best hummus in the metro area. First, it’s gluten free and absolutely delicious. Served with their grill-warmed pitas make it twice as nice for those that can eat them. Baba ganoush is also GF. The service at the window is kind, patient and very helpful should you have questions about their menu. Dining in is clean, open and well lit.

Service: The cook/owner – not sure if he’s one or both – was friendly. He is the only one there as far as I can tell when we first arrived at about 4:30ish pm. Later I saw a teenager walking around and cleaning already cleaned tables. You put the order in and he does give you a buzzer for when the food is ready. He did forget my order of samosas but that was easily remedied when I went up to the counter and reminded him. If I didn’t remember that I ordered it, I would’ve paid for something I didn’t get.
Food: There were 6 of us. 3 ordered the Philly Steak sandwich with French Fries and a drink combo. One ordered a Gyro burger combo w/ fries and drink. One ordered the #20 Kufta Shish kabob and another ordered the #24 Jawad Grill. Both of these combos did not come with a drink so we had water. And we chose rice as our side over fries or hummus. A salad was included. I was pleasantly surprised how tasty and abundance the food was. The ratio of rice to meat was a little off, there was a bit more rice than I wanted but still tasty. I wished that there was a little bit more of the roasted bell peppers and onions, I think I got one of each on my Kufta plate but sadly the onion needed a little bit more time on the grill. It’s still a little bit on the raw side. I also thought the yogurt dip was a little bland and wanted a little bit more seasoning and kick to it. The fries on the sandwich and burger plates was actually pretty good and crispy even though we know it was from frozen. The kids definitely approved of the Philly steak and burger combo plates. Big thumbs up. The samosas were a bit bland. I like that it was made fresh but the filling was basically ground meat (beef?).
Overall: Small mom/pop place – Dine in or take out. Not sure if they deliver. The dining area was clean. Some tables did not have any napkins or condiments, but we just took some from the other table while there. Dining area can accommodate larger parties. The bathroom was a bit dirty. It does need a good cleaning. Lots of dust on the floor especially behind the toilet. Floor needs a good scrub as well. Be warned, if you use the toilet, the flush pressure is 0 and it will look like the bowl is about to flood. There’s two TVs on the wall. They offer catering services as well.
Recommendations: I would definitely recommend this place if you’re in the Blaine area. It did exceed my expectations. Food was freshly made. And the owner/cook was friendly.

Kong Thao
If looking for that Greek flavor, stop by Jawad Grill. I ordered the grill combo plate with chicken, lamb, and beef + Rice. I appreciate them having a dining area so one can sit-down to eat. You can taste the grill on the meat which I appreciate alot, and the flavors were solid. But the highlight for me was the rice!

My husband and I have wanted to go here for a really long time!Tonight I stopped in and got the Beef Philly Cheesesteak and Chicken Philly Cheesesteak for my hubby and I, and the chicken tenders basket for my kids to share. The food was so fresh and tasty. So much so that it probably was the best chicken philly we have ever had. The staff was warm and friendly. The restaurant was well kept and clean. Excited to try the Greek food!

We’ve been eating at Jawad for a few years now. This place needs more public recognition because the food is so good. Its location is a bit off the beaten path and its in a strip mall which probably doesnt help. If they were located in a busier area I think they’d be more talked about.

They have that “twice fried” kind of texture to them. Not sure what oil they use but it makes for some very good french fries. My wife gets the grilled chicken plate (kabobs) every so often and it also is very very good. The rice that they serve is just incredible. The seasoning is unique and very flavorful.
They need to do more advertising as I know a lot of people have no idea they are there or what they serve. Hopefully reviews like this help as they provide really good food at a really good price.

A customer that has grown to be a friend, thanked me with a bag of Gyros from Jawad Grill. I was thrilled as i didn’t have a local favorite yet. Even better in person as I had the Gyro Pocket Combo. I had to use a fork as there was so much meat and filling it burst the bread!! Even the fries were so hot and coated with deliciousness. This food is amazing. I will be back again and again!
