We took a little drive out to Nautical Mile today it’s not the typical season to visit, but a few restaurants are still open and offering amazing service without all the summer traffic (which is such a plus!).

We decided to try Off the Hook, and it turned out to be a great choice!

We started off with some Saratoga still water served with fresh lemon ❤️ I love little details like that, they really matter. For drinks, he had a Hennessy beer, and I went with a spicy passion margarita (recommended by our waitress, Christina). She was right it was delicious! Nice and spicy, just how I like it. My second one wasn’t quite as spicy as the first, so make sure to tell them to keep it spicy!

He started with oysters first the Rockefeller oysters (6 for $25). He said they were decent but not quite like the ones he’s had in Louisiana . For round two, he tried the Blue Point South Shore oysters (since it’s Oyster Week they were $2 each). He chose them because Christina said they were larger and she was right!

The other oyster selections included Fire Island South Shore, Montauk Pearl, and Barnstable Cape Cod. I had the chicken wings they were delicious, and full of flavor.

For our main dishes, he ordered the whole Branzino with mashed potatoes, and I had the chicken Caesar salad. Both were fresh, perfectly cooked, and beautifully presented. My salad needed a little more dressing. I hate a dry salad

The overall experience was wonderful the food was delicious, the service was excellent, the music was a great mix of everything, and the atmosphere was calm and cozy. Christina was friendly, attentive, and super knowledgeable.

Even though most spots are closed during the colder months, Off the Hook is still open so be sure to stop by and check them out. You won’t be disappointed

I had dinner at Off the Hook on July 4th and several things stood out. The restaurant is dog friendly and had outdoor seating right on the water. The staff couldn’t be nicer or friendlier. Several staff members 4/5 came up to us to greet our dog and offered water as well. Because we were on the water we also had a front row seat to the fireworks Our server was very charismatic and funny.

Food and Drinks:
The drinks were fantastic, I went with the spicy Paloma. The food was the only disappointing part. The fish and shrimp were a little bland. The Octopus (not pictured) was delicious. The food portions relative to the price was a bit disappointing (6 shrimp for $32 and one piece of Octopus for $30). Overall we had a great time but will probably not come back for dinner.

When i first went with my husband, we sat at the bar. We were greeted by the owner, really nice. The food and drinks were amazing. I came home and told my sister and my cousin that we had to go there. They are always looking for new places to try. Well, we went and they also loved it. They also found the food and drinks amazing. Ater we had dinner, we sat at the bar to listen to some Jazz that was playing live and the owner gave us a round of Lemon drop shots. That was so nice of him. Off The Hook in Freeport is now one of my favorite places to go for food and drinks. That was my 2nd time there and I will be back again.

We had a wonderful meal here to celebrate a family member’s birthday party. The owner reserved the best seats in the house for us and we had the most amazing service and food; we were treated like royalty. The seafood was incredibly fresh and my husband said they were the best oysters he’d ever had. The steak frites were incredible. We look forward to coming back again over the summer!

Drawn in by a mailer advertising $24.95 bottomless brunch. Turns out it’s only for drinks and no entree included.

The new venue is really classy with radiant sunlight from all angles. Love the high end leather lounge bench seats.

My gal says “you got to try this lobster bisque!” I happily obliged and must say “Mind blowingly delicious.”

Upgrading review from previous 4 stars to 5 stars. The $1 oysters & draft beers got me to come here 3 times in 3 weeks.

Best Happy Hour in town!

Came back as this restaurant has officially reopened and it was just as fantastic as the first time! The ambiance is so warm and comfortable, beautiful decor and music. We ordered the chowder fries that so exceeded my expectations! We couldn’t stop eating them. The Philly Steak sandwich and Fish & Chips were so fresh and so flavorful. Both very hearty portions. Our party also thoroughly enjoyed the clam chowder, burrata salad, Yuka fries and the calamari. Each bite was better than the next! So happy their bar is finally open as well. A gorgeous place to post up for one of their delicious looking cocktails while watching the boats! Cannot wait to come back and enjoy the warm weather here.

Wow!! This place is stunning. We shared plates and the portions were perfect. Delicious all around! The staff were super friendly and the restaurant is beautiful. Plenty of indoor and outdoor dining. My friend dish was the baked cheese casserole! The clams were a close second, fresh & delicious! The dip with the zucchini fries was incredible as well. Oh but the skirt steak and mustard sauce maybe have also been my favorite! Ha. We also had the pea soup, the meatballs, the charred Caesar. Highly recommend this new restaurant!

When I arrived I parked on the street nearby. I walked in and I was greeted and sat. The place was dimly lit and nice. I was served by Kim and she was great. I started with the espresso martini and that was good. For food I had:

Drunken Mussels
Shrimp Mofongo
Mac and cheese

The food was delicious! I really loved the Mussels the most! I really enjoyed my time!

My boyfriend and I came here for dinner one night and after this experience we couldn’t wait to share with everyone. The ambiance is romantic, elegant and classy. Right off the water, I can’t wait to come here during the summer I just know it’s going to be even more amazing to be able to sit outside. Our server was Ximena she was kind and patient with us and also gave some suggestions on menu items.

To drink we had the chance to try many options and they got better and better each time. The Rosemary lemon drop was so good served in a rock glass and was so much more than what we expected. The Dark forest was one of my favorites I def say try this. The Fresh Mojito was one of the best mojitos I’ve ever had. If you come here for drinks and apps alone you will be on cloud 9. I heard happy hour is amazing I can’t wait to come for that ($1 oysters).
The oyster shots are amazing spicy but amazing.

We ordered the House oysters which are the absolute best on nautical mile so fresh, excellent taste. Cajun baked clams my boyfriend enjoyed I couldn’t have them since they had sausage however he enjoyed them and said they were really good also. The Cornflake shrimp is an absolute must have delicious, fried to perfection and the sauce was a great addition. We also got the Grilled octopus which was good it comes with a small bean salad which is served cold. I enjoyed this is was cooked well and not to oily.
For entrees we had the linguine and clams which had plenty of clams. It also had good flavor and the portion was good. We also had the fried whole red snapper which was fried to perfection and beautifully presented. It came with sauces and crispy plantains very delicious.
For dessert we got one of the most popular items which is the pistachio ricotta cake I love pistachio so this was also a good choice.

Ate there tonight and it was really good. Temperature felt like it dropped 20 degrees and the staff managed moving everyone when they could. All of the food was really good, couldn’t fit dessert but had to order some anyway because it was all so good. Only slight nitpick would be I wish they had a stronger beer menu..

They have great food and the servers are always very friendly. Their cocktails are good, too. I have had the whole fried fish with tostones, which totally reminds me of being at Sosua beach in DR, I ve also had the Tamarind chicken, shrimp mofongo, lobster bisque and the clam chowder. So far, everything I’ve tried has been good. During the summer they have outdoor seating in the front and back. If you are on the Nautical Mile, definitely check them out. You won’t be disappointed.
