No bark on the brisket at all, just chewy beef without any kind of seasoning (other than salt) that may have been smoked for a few hours (I seriously doubt it though, more like an hour smoking and then the rest of the time in the oven). The mac and cheese is bland, greasy and doesn’t have any real cheese flavor to it and the cornbread is bone dry. The fries are even too salty. If you want okay BBQ go somewhere else.

If your not from Texas this place will be great. If you are from Texas this is just another BBQ place to add to the list “would not stay in business in Texas”. The biggest complaint I have is the prices are very high for mediocre BBQ. The restaurants was very dirty, dirty tables dirty around the windows and the iced tea dispensers didn’t have lids covering them. If your desperate for BBQ and trapped in Pennsylvania try this place, expect to pay $15-20 a person for below average BBQ in a rough restaurant.

I had a great experience here. I came in for lunch, I got the special. It was a pulled pork sandwich with fries and a drink for $6.99 plus tax. The sauce made it real tasty. The meat seemed like it could have been higher quality. But the manager made sure I was well taken care. He brought over all the sauces and gave a description of each. He even gave me new fries after my first set came out without seasoning. Definitely had that small town mom and pop shop feel to it.

Excellent!! We had Selma’s cater a wedding. All the guests raved about the food
Everything was delicious & hot. They set up quickly & 2 people stayed throughout our event to keep things running smoothly. There was plenty of extra food & they packed it all up too. Prices were reasonable also. Definitely give them a try.

The hush puppies are tasty, the mac&cheese was good, the ribs by themselves were OK (not amazing, but just fine), the corn bread was not very good. The big problem I had is that none of the 6 homemade BBQ sauces they offer taste good. Almost any store-bought BBQ sauce is better (Sweet Baby Ray’s for example). I took home the leftover ribs and used some good BBQ sauce and it really improved the flavor. I don’t think I’ll be returning here.

Tried it once. Generous portion of rib meat. Thought the cole slaw was a bit too sour. They charged extra for a small amount of slaw on the sandwich. Baked beans weren’t bad. Will go back, and perhaps try the blackened chicken. The place had no other customers when I was there. Adequate seating area. BYOB. I did take out. Attractive young woman served me promptly.

Texas style like the way I’m used to from back home. Slowed smoked and balanced with seasoning. Variety of BBQ sauces. The service was fast and friendly. The portions were very generous. Just FYI, this style of bbq meat is served dry (without sauce), which is the preferred method from the region they are from – however very flavorful. Love this place!!! I will definitely return with my family soon.

As a Texan, I must have been spoiled. I am in Pittsburgh for a summer internship, and was really hoping to find some acceptable barbecue. I wasn’t looking for something that could compete with the best in Texas, but was at least hoping for something that could hold me over for three months. After looking at the website, and reading some reviews, I decided to try this place for lunch on a Saturday.

I parked in the rear of the building and as I walked up, I could smell some pit smoke. I thought this would be a good sign. As I entered the building, I was trying to catch a glimpse of the meats. They were not on display. (Bad sign). I ordered the holy trinity of Texas BBQ: Brisket, Ribs, and Sausage. It came with two sides, and a corn muffin. In total I spent $21, a reasonable price if the food is good.

After paying, I was informed that they didn’t have brisket. At first I thought they had meant they had sold out, but what they meant was they hadn’t reheated it in the oven yet. (Second really bad sign). I got Chicken instead. The lady at the front (who was very polite, if not aware of what was available), went into the back, and started pulling meats out of a steam table. She didn’t even have to cut the sausage, it was so old that she was pulling it apart with her fingers. It looked like the skin of a dying man. I couldn’t see the ribs, so I was still hopeful. When she started to get the chicken, I was appalled that it was shredded chicken from a steam tray, not smoked chicken on the bone. I would have been OK with pulled chicken if it was fresh pulled.

I got the food to go, and when I got home, I was disgusted by what I saw. Good barbecue looks like the pictures on their website. This all looked like it had been reheated several times, or had been sitting in a steam tray for days. I tried some of the chicken, it wasn’t juicy, but instead was just wet (from steam table). The sausage was repulsive. The ribs tasted like overcooked pork loin (that’s being nice). The baked beans I got for a side were not bad (probably from a can), and the potato salad wasn’t a style that I preferred (not a Texas-style). The BBQ sauce I chose was the Texas Cowboy sauce. It was refrigerated and not fresh made. It didn’t taste very good.

I actually threw away all the food it was so disgusting. I cannot believe that they served such filth. I hated it so much that I wrote my first food review. I wasted time and money on complete crap. The worst food I have ever payed for. Thinking about it, I want to vomit.

Always drove past here and decided to stop in today. I read mixed reviews so I played it safe. The fried catfish is super delicious!! Would def get again. On a side note, the place could use a good cleaning. Everything from the floors to the tables to the drink dispenser is filthy. And then I found something gross in my applesauce. Will be posting pic omg!
