Bao Babies delivers on cute, creative bao in the heart of the mall. The Penguin Bao was adorable and delicious…..perfectly steamed, fluffy bun, with Taro filling. The Chocolate Bao was a standout dessert bao: rich, fudgy chocolate filling wrapped in a soft, slightly sweet bun…..indulgent without being overly heavy.

The Citrus Blossom Float was a refreshing surprise…..bright, floral citrus soda with creamy vanilla soft serve and a pretty edible flower on top. It cut through the richness of the bao perfectly.

Service was quick and friendly despite the busy mall crowd, and everything came out hot/fresh. The quality and fun presentation make it worth it for a treat. Great spot to grab something unique while shopping.

Definitely coming back to try more flavors.

Found this new gem, Bao Babies, over at The Garden State Plaza and it is perfect for Asian palates! The buns are super cute and you can tell they use all-natural ingredients.

What I love most is that they aren’t overly sweet or salty like a lot of American treats—they’re much healthier and have that perfect bouncy and chewy texture we love. The staff was also amazing; they were so patient and enthusiastic about explaining the menu, which made the experience even better.

If you’re tired of the usual heavy pizza and donuts, definitely swing by and give this a try. It’s a breath of fresh air and totally worth it!

First time trying Bao Babies. Their display caught my eye and decided to give it a try. The buns are super cute. Tastes like soft bread on the outside and has sweet fillings inside. They have a bunch of different flavors. Would definitely come back again.

Passed by this cute kiosk at GSP and noticed their Christmas Bao set! Two come with chocolate filling and one with a milk flavor. Super adorable and would be a great gift box. I also got a hot chocolate topped with marshmallow and Biscoff. Such a cozy winter vibe!

I was so surprised that most retail stores in this mall are closed on Sundays. Not a lot of food outlets are open at GSP. Luckily, this place was open — and they had my favorite xiao long bao too! So happy! We had their Xiao Long Bao sets and a float. The xiao long bao with shrimp&pork is pretty good.

Too cute to eat bao buns. New addition to GSP. It’s in the center of a few restaurants, easy to spot and free parking. Great gift for my friend’s kids.

Newly open snack store Bao Babies in Garden state plaza. Very cute concept for small bites.

They have 6 different baos, floats/drinks with toppings and a beef sandwich. We tried 4 different baos, I like red beans and passion fruit custard. Strawberry is on sweeter side, not my thing. Taro is ok. I wish the dough is thinner. But overall not bad and it’s cute.

The staff is friendly and helpful. Service is quick. The baos come out steamy hot and ready to eat.
