I am writing to express my significant concerns regarding a recent experience at your establishment on Saturday, November 8, 2025.
Firstly, I must address the issue of my photos being deleted. I find it unacceptable that my content is repeatedly removed, and I wish to convey my dissatisfaction with this action.
Regarding the service, I have mixed feedback. While I consistently receive exceptional service from the weekend bartender, my experiences during the week have been less satisfactory. Specifically, I’ve observed that the weekday bartender tends to prioritize certain patrons over others, regardless of their gratuity. This has led me to reconsider my tipping practices.
On November 8, 2025, I had a particularly troubling encounter with the owner. I was asked what I was doing, to which I replied I was “just smoking.” Another colleague asked the same, and I gave the same response. Following a conversation between the owner and her colleague, I was instructed to leave for holding an unlit joint. My concern stems from the observation that others at the bar were seemingly permitted to engage in similar activities without consequence, which suggests an inconsistent application of your establishment’s policies. I complied with the request immediately, stating “yes ma’am” and leaving without argument. I even returned my drink to the bar and retrieved the $20 tip I had placed.
The perceived disparity in policy enforcement is deeply unsettling. If certain actions are prohibited, it is my expectation that such rules apply universally to all patrons.
Due to these experiences, I will unfortunately be taking my business elsewhere to other establishments downtown where I feel my presence is more valued and policies are applied consistently.
Sincerely,
Malachi Hubbard
It started to rain, and the staff brought out umbrellas for everyone who couldn’t fit under the covered portion.
Right next door, and accessible from the patio area, is Adler’s, if you’re looking for some delicious burgers. I didn’t get food from there, but other guests brought food over, and it looked amazing.
