Abysmal fesenjoon outright, my dad ordered it and it had spices in it instead of walnut. It tasted very spicy and unlike fesenjoon at all.

My chicken barg was too burnt and too colorful and looked very fake like it was made in a 3d printer, I just ate it without appetite.

Terrible service as well, no service. Everyone acted snobby and tremendously worse than Darya Santa Monica/Tustin and Panini Kabob Grill.

Never come again and you can’t convince me to come back. I personally am done. Trash

Atmosphere was great, the whole staff were nice.
Though food was not to the expectation, the chicken kabaab was not totally cooked in the middle and Koobideh was OK.
Loved the inside and outside vibe.

The experience was… fine. The food wasn’t bad, but it didn’t stand out either. The kabobs were decent but lacked the juiciness and seasoning you’d expect from a good Persian grill. Portions were fair, and the rice was fine, but overall the meal felt uninspired. An average spot if you’re nearby, but not worth a special trip.

Delicious Food and Warm Hospitality!

We were visiting from Seattle and decided to try this Persian restaurant — and it did not disappoint! The food was authentic and delicious, and the portions were generous. Marciano was fantastic — he gave us great recommendations and made us feel very welcome. The decor and atmosphere were beautiful and inviting, adding to the whole experience.

We’ll definitely come back next time we’re in town and highly recommend this place to anyone looking for excellent Persian food!

Over the past few years, we have consistently experienced high-quality food and very friendly service here. The atmosphere is welcoming and spacious, making it a great place to enjoy a family meal. The quality of the food—especially the kabobs—and the presentation are always enjoyable and well aligned with traditional Persian cuisine.

Nice setting. Quite spacious. Service was prompt, though we were there mid afternoon so not too crowded.

Tahdig appetizer was good, though the tahdig was not crunchy. The khoreshts were great and flavorful.

Kabob barg was done very well. Flavorful and cooked to perfection!! Yummmm. Koobideh was also good, but barg was the favorite. We had side of loobiya polo which was so/so.

This is a great location for Mediterranean food and one of my favorites. Had the baba ganoush and hummus as appetizers, followed by a family style kabob dinner. While family style isn’t directly in the menu, they are more than happy to figure it what you need. Then followed it up with really tasty desserts. Can’t wait to return

Darya Persian Restaurant in Costa Mesa? Oh, it’s a flavor festival! The appetizers, main courses, and desserts were so good, I almost considered hiding the menu to prevent myself from ordering more (almost). Every bite was like a tasty little celebration in my mouth. And the service? Let’s just say, if the servers were any more attentive, I’d be worried they were stalking me. Seriously, top-notch service all around. If you’re not careful, you might end up rolling out of there in a happy food coma.

I took my family and a guest to the restaurant and was disappointed. I could have easily gone to any other high end restaurants in Costa Mesa but chose Darya for Persian food. My dish of Adas polo and boiled chicken tasted stale. Like a food that is reheated in microwave. It tasted weird. I did not have much of my food despite going there starving and the server’s comment was that I was not hungry. Did not even ask if there was something wrong with the food. Obviously, I did not even care to box the food and take it home, when I could not eat it in the first place. Truly disappointed this time, since a couple of years ago, it was pretty good when we celebrated a special occasion there. Not anymore.

Beautiful Persian restaurant that has the well know dishes alongside some more traditional dishes. The place looks very elegant and has a party room upstairs for private events. For those who like the open air there is a patio on the side of the restaurant.
The food is delicious and well seasoned. Portions are adequate, but those with a heftier appetite might want to order another dish and bring the leftovers home. One dish that is a must try is the borani.
Service was impeccable from start to finish.
