Love this place just down the way from a HS. Gives the student a place to eat within walking distance and lovely to have a great ramen place locally. The food is always consistently delicious and the place is small, simple and clean. Easy to order, delicious food. The shoyu and tonkotsu ramen are so tasty and goes so well with their garlic paste. The spicy tuna bowl, spicy tuna on crispy rice and pork buns are alternatives to those who want less carb heavy bowls. A wonderful, local find in MPk.

Hiro Norin Monterey Park

If you’re craving ramen with personality, Hiro Norin hits the spot. The Tonkotsu ramen is rich and silky, while the vegan bowl proves plant based can still pack flavor. For something bold, the Spicy Cold Dipping Noodle is refreshing with just the right kick.

Appetizers set the tone: the cucumber salad is crisp and light, and the pork buns are fluffy little bites of comfort. Drinks are playful and refreshing Yuzunade cucumber mint feels like a spa in a glass, while the piña colada brings tropical vibes to the table.

Overall, Hiro Norin balances cozy ramen shop vibes with inventive touches. Perfect for a casual night out when you want both comfort and creativity in your meal.

I knew this ramen place from a Yelp Elite event and today I went with my friend to have it again. They have very good ramen and most of what the server recommended are very good. I’m not vegan but I think the vegan ramen is my favorite. The broth is very yummy. The spicy tuna starter is very nice. It almost melts in the mouth. The vibe is very nice and cozy.

Review Title: A Hidden Gem Worth Seeking Out!
Atmosphere & Location
Tucked away on a quiet side street, this place is a true “hole-in-the-wall” find. Its modest exterior opens into a cozy, intimate space that feels miles away from the main road’s bustle. It’s the kind of spot where the focus is clearly on the craft rather than the flashy decor.
The Main Menu
The menu is simple and focused, which is always a good sign for quality. I ordered the signature bowl, and it was rock-solid:

If you’re looking for specialty ramen, def check out @hironori

I tried the shoyu, tonkotsu, and mazemen ramen and all three were seriously so good. Each broth had so much flavor without being too heavy

The noodles were honestly my favorite part, they perfectly chewy, fresh, and they held onto the broth so well. The shoyu was clean and savory, the tonkotsu was rich and creamy, and the mazemen had so much depth and flavor. To me, the mazemen tasted like yakisoba (iykyk)

Such a solid place and I’ll definitely be coming back to try more from the menu⋆˙⟡♡

Did you know the SGV is home to a Michelin Guide ramen spot? Tucked into a small strip in Monterey Park, this establishment is one of those spots that doesn’t rely on flash to stand out — the food speaks for itself. As a Michelin Guide-listed ramen shop, it’s built a reputation for quality, and after our visit, it’s easy to see why.

Here’s what we enjoyed:
Kaarage — crispy + tender, pairs well with the dipping sauce.
Tuna Crispy Rice — my fave app!
Chashu Buns — flavorful and soft
Mazemen — exclusive to this location + packed with flavor! Slight tanginess adds the perfect touch!
Shoyu ramen — rich broth & tender chashu!
Vegan ramen — creamy and packed with yummy veggies.

Hironori nails the balance of comfort and quality without trying too hard. Highly recommend a visit to experience it all!

Can’t make myself give this place a 5 star for the fact that it took 3 minutes of standing in an almost empty restaurant in order to get seated. Had to go to the employee sitting in the corner with a laptop to get seated.

The tonkotsu ramen was delicious. The broth was rich and well seasoned. The noodles were bouncy and very well made. The toppings are a bit lacking as other places give much more food for less but the chasu pork was well made overall.

The cucumber salad was absolutely incredible. It was very tasty and the crunch paired well with the soft and umami flavors of crab.

I got the cheesecake dessert and it was really good but I am a bit disappointed in how small it was.

My gripe was mainly with the service in the beginning, not the food itself. I will be returning and hopefully I will be seated promptly next time.

The Ramen is so flavorful and delicious. They says they make their noodles and that Ramen is full of flavor. And the crispy chicken is delicious chicken thighs deep fried.

The Monterey Park staff are wonderful, and the food and service are consistently excellent. I eat there about once a month.
The dining area has a nice atmosphere that makes the meal enjoyable. The only part that doesn’t quite match the rest of the experience is that bathroom.

When I visited today around opening time, I used the facilities for the first time, just to wash my hands. And it was NOT clean—the mirror, sink, and faucets all needed attention. I was shocked!

It’s a unisex restroom that feels like what you’d expect at a rest stop gas station off of a highway. That bathroom, would benefit from some updates, regular cleaning and immediate maintenance. Improving this area would make the overall experience just as great as the food and service.
