I would say a very solid 4.3 out of 5! The baba ghanoush, fish and chips and espresso martini really shined. The one place it fell short was the beef kebabs. Unfortunately, the entire dish was just not quite right, the rice was bland and dry and the kebab is more of a sirloin tipped beef on a stick. I would skip it and grab something else on the menu!

The ambience is awesome and staff were super kind! Would definitely go back!

Solid 4.5 stars, we love the friendliness of the staff here, and the relaxed atmosphere. The food is pretty good, some dishes are better than others. They are always very friendly with us bringing our active toddler lol.

Brand new owners and staff a new look and feel along with a fantastic Chef and Manager. This place is a must visit in solona Beach. If you like Monarch or any place like that with even better food then you will love this place and the happy hour is fantastic.

One of the best hummus dishes I ever had, got the Truffle risotto as my main at it was delicious aswell, the steak I got with it was a little over cooked but even steak houses don’t get my temperatures right sometimes so no big deal.

The hostess was super friendly too!

Solana Beach Kitchen is a solid go-to if you’re looking for a relaxed spot with good food and a lively neighborhood vibe. The menu has a nice mix of comfort food with a creative twist, and everything I tried was well prepared and flavorful. Portions are generous, and the quality definitely shows, especially in their sandwiches and shareable plates.
The atmosphere is casual but polished, making it great for anything from a laid-back dinner to drinks with friends. The staff is friendly and attentive without being overbearing, which adds to the overall experience. It does get busy at peak times, but the energy is part of the charm.
Overall, it’s a dependable place with good food, solid service, and a welcoming vibe — somewhere you’d actually come back to, not just try once.

Food was absolutely delicious and definitely shareable if you get an appetizer. Very laid back ambiance which was nice.

We got the Habibi Hummus and The Hot Chick. Honestly both delicious and the chicken sandwich was the best I’ve had

Great spot! So good my buddy and I came back for a second meal on our short trip. They have the best chicken sandwich I’ve ever had, The Hot Chick! Can’t recommend it enough!

Would also recommend the Brussels sprouts! We went for dinner one evening at the bar and sat outside for lunch a different time. Great vibes all around! Drinks were good too.

Sonoma Beach Kitchen doesn’t serve burgers—they launch them into your life like guided missiles of flavor and regret. I sat there at the bar, close enough to smell the beef and the bourbon, as live trivia thundered through the speakers—some poor bastard yelling about 80s movie quotes while half the room debated the capital of Nebraska like it was life or death. The whole place was vibrating with that rare combination of competition, beer, and hunger that turns civilized people into beautiful animals.

Then the burger landed. Not served—landed. A thick, juicy riot between two halves of a defiant bun, molten cheese dripping down like hot lava from a culinary volcano. It had structure, weight, authority. You don’t so much bite into it as negotiate with it. Every chew was a confession. Somewhere around the halfway point, I lost control—sauce running wild, napkins surrendering, dignity long gone. This wasn’t lunch—it was survival.

Behind the bar, the crew worked like pros in the eye of a hurricane. Fast, funny, unflappable. The bartender slid fresh drinks across the counter like ammunition while trivia questions kept flying. It was chaos, but the kind you want to live in.

Five stars. Sonoma Beach Kitchen isn’t a restaurant—it’s a full-contact sport with better lighting. The burger’s a masterpiece, the staff’s fantastic, and the trivia just makes the madness sing. Come hungry, come thirsty, and prepare to lose—on purpose

Have been coming to this spot for over a year now and have never had any issues. The management, servers and bar tenders are all super friendly and accommodating. The food quality is great, drinks are also very good. A nice place to stop in for a quick drink or bite to eat.
