My wife and I just had dinner there for Valentine’s and happily they still offered their full menu as opposed to some restaurants that have limited menus for certain times of the year. We were happy to learn that it’s a family owned business that’s been open for over twenty years. The salads, entrees and dessert were all absolutely delicious. Service was attentive and friendly. We look forward to going again.

Amazing food, wife had Parmigiano & Asiago Gnocchi with shrimp which very cheesy gnocchi would melt in your mouth deliciousness the shrimp done to perfection and they tasted like lobster and I had Marsala Chicken scaloppinil sautéed with mushrooms, hot rich sauce chicken was so tender and moist, so many mushrooms in each bit. The bread was hot and delicious.
The restaurant is very clean, staff is very professional
I look forward to our next visit

The food was delicious and the atmosphere was very pleasant. While the service was friendly, it was notably slow.

Overall a pleasant experience but I’m not likely to go back. We had a veal dish the was very good. Pasta dishes were good. The Ceaser salad was very bland and did not taste much like a Ceaser.
There was no one item that really grabbed us.

Truly authentic from the food to the family. D’corato puts thought into every detail and makes you feel like family. The newly updated decor brings a refreshing ambiance! They have amazing wine selections of authentic Italian imports. Made to order food with relaxed non rushed service. Coming here is a real culinary experience, allowing you to sip your wine take your time and enjoy food and conversations.Hard to find a true family owned resturant around Sarasota that isn’t focused on rushing you through your dinner to get the next guests in the door. Go hungry as you will want to try it all! Large entree portions. The young talented chef knows how to keep the family recipes going with a modern twist.Bruschetta is like no other! I’m not sure what herb is used that makes it so unique but it is bursting with flavor. Seafood is sautéed and soft, veal tender and amazing desserts made fresh by Nonna. The birthday dinner they catered was just as outstanding as dining in and we can’t wait to dine outside on cooler nights, and come to the wine tasting. See you again very soon!

We have been in Sarasota for a whole week and came across this place for our last night here. It did not disappoint. The food and service was beyond our expectations. Will visit again!

The last time I had spaghetti Diavolo was seaside in Venice Italy at one of the top restaurants… D’Coratos is better. This is a must try for anyone who loves Italian. Small and quaint. Good service. Fair pricing.

This is a smaller place, very cozy and private with a very relaxing atmosphere. The food was really good and the portions were quite big. If you like true Italian food you will not be disappointed. As for the service, it was good.

Super tiny place that you’d miss if you weren’t looking for it… but WOW!!!! The BEST Italian food in all of Sarasota! The gnocchi was the best that both my fiancé and I have ever had!!! (I’m from New Jersey and he has lived in Italy!). The pasta I was perfectly al dente, the seafood was perfectly cooked, the ambiance was beautiful and the service was both elevated and outstanding! If I could give this restaurant 6 stars… I would! Definitely try to make a reservation due to its small size/ limited tables. (We were walk-in’s and sat immediately but they did say it’s normally a wait without one… but that’s everywhere now it seems.
