Tasty Family-Style Chinese Dining
V Garden Restaurant offers authentic Chinese family-style dining, where dishes are shared among the table and come with white rice. The portions are generous and reasonably priced.
We came as a party of 3 adults and 1 child, ordered three dishes, and it was just the right amount of food. The atmosphere is casual and welcoming—perfect for a family meal.
It’s conveniently located inside the same building as 99 Ranch Market, which makes it a great spot to grab a bite after shopping. The bathroom was also clean, which is always appreciated.
If you enjoy family-style Chinese meals, this place is worth a visit!

You’ll only find the most authentic food here. Everything is so fresh. The duck had just enough fatty, meat, and crispy. The fish was awesome. We also get it half steamed and half made into soup and both excel in their taste. The honey crisp pork ribs are always a top choice for us. Loved that the fried calamari was like finger food for us. And their garlic satueed water spinaches bring the color and health to the table. They also come in such big portions that we had plenty to take to eat the next day, which not to mention, still tasted fresh even after the microwave. So lucky to have found this gem.

I was shocked to see the bill of $336.40 for the dishes we ordered as shown in the picture and we still leave them tip of $46.60. So our total bill was $380. The lobster was less than 3lbs. I buy lobster regularly at 99 Ranch market, I can tell from my experiences how much it weighs. We brought a box of frozen tempura and oyster to asking them to fry for us. I truly believe the boss lady treated us as tourists and she charged us the way she did. ( she asked if we were 1st time customers) sadly to mention, I wasn’t the first time customer. But, she couldn’t recognize me. I’m not a big fan of Chinese food but I like the taste of their food , that’s why we went to V Garden to celebrate my friend’s birthday.
I know I will never go back to this restaurant ever again

Why this restaurant gets such low review score? It is a really authentic one for Chinese food, especially the soup. Their service is excellent as well. They help with getting food into the to-go box, which is now rarely seen in Chinese restaurants service, no matter Seattle or the bay area. Price is also very reasonable. They deserve at least four stars. Since it’s now underscored a lot, I am giving it five stars.

Randomly picked it because we wanted Cantonese food. It is an authentic no frills restaurant!! Come for food, not for ambience! The service was good enough! Duck and veggie were good but Hong Kong style crab was a little bland! May be ginger and shallot crab would have been better! Overall a good restaurant and will definitely return to try out other dishes! We were given free desert at the end!!

This restaurant was disappointment, with slow and unfriendly service. Our server seemed preoccupied on the phone, leading my husband to take a menu from an unattended table. To add to our frustration, we were served our food but never received our bill; my husband had to go fetch it himself, essentially self-serving our entire meal.
Service: Virtually nonexistent
Food: The pork BBQ arrived cold, the egg flour soup lacked flavor and resembled more of a thick broth, and the crispy noodles were also lacking taste.
Atmosphere: Unwelcoming

One of the best Chinese restaurants on the West Coast. We spent a few years in Southern California, 12 years in Northern California, including San Francisco. My wife and I are both in the food service business with over 40 years of combined experience. We come here very often, and we have never been disappointed. The food is always on point, very fresh and tasty. Prices are very reasonable. The staff is always friendly. We are cooks, foodies, and we highly recommend this restaurant.

Went on 2/17/2026. Waited 20 minutes to get food ordered; two other parties after me got their food ordered and served. There wasn’t even that much people. Waited another 20 minutes for food to be served. Ordered Mongolian beef (ok), king pao chicken was missing some spices; did not taste anything like Kung pao. Will not be going back again.

Went here for chinese new year order a tilapia steam fish. Fried rice for my picky eater nephew. Who is 5 years old, shrimp and walnut and green beans. The fish came late and had to take it to go and by the time we ate it, i believe it was over cooked and a bit pricy for one fish. Very disappointing 🙁 but it is what it is and $67 dollar (fish alone)and the total for four dishes was $136. Normaly we get the sweet and sour fish nice crispy and yum sometimes it is a hit and miss.

my husband and I have been here a couple of times since Christmas and the quality and quantity of the food has majorly declined. First time we came they made my dish incorrectly and forgot my husband’s altogether. He had to speak to several people just to place his order again. The second time we came, I ordered chicken curry and it was half the size of normal. I raised it to their attention and they just added coconut milk, making it flavorless. Very disappointed.
