This is a wonderful restaurant.
First, about the food: everything was very delicious and nutritious. We ordered salmon, Kobe beef, sausages with French fries, and goose breast salad. Every dish tasted great, but we were especially impressed with the salmon and the salad. The salmon was fresh, tender, and very pleasant to eat. The salad with passion fruit dressing was surprisingly well-balanced; even though I normally do not like the taste of passion fruit, I still found it very enjoyable.
Next, regarding the service: we visited on March 8th, which is International Women’s Day. The staff and the restaurant manager supported us a lot with preparing and arranging the table. The restaurant also thoughtfully prepared two cups of tea and a small cake as a gift for my girlfriend to celebrate the occasion.
Finally, the atmosphere: at first, I was looking for a quiet and private restaurant where we could comfortably talk, and I chose this place through Google Maps. It turned out to be exactly what I was hoping for. The space was clean and peaceful, making it perfect for having meaningful conversations. In the restroom, they even provided towels for drying hands, which is something many restaurants often overlook. As someone who has experienced many restaurants before, I truly appreciate this level of attention to detail.
Overall, I would rate this place 10/10.

Spectacular experience. The food and service was top notch. Our server was such a sweetheart & went above & beyond. We did the tasting menu and loved every dish. On weekends they have acoustic, live music and you can make song suggestions. They even gave us an additional free dish to try! Highly recommend!

The food was delicious — we only ordered the main dish, but the staff surprised us with complimentary appetizers, refreshing drinks, and even ice cream at the end. Everything was perfect! Tried the Vietnamese grilled fish also beer Truc Bach was so delicious! People and service was excellent too, as a solo traveller I also got treated ice cream and drink, definitely would recommend this place to anyone to enjoy a nice quality meal ❤️

located in the siesta hotel on the 11th floor; there’s no sign outside so go into the hotel and go up the elevator. higher level place but prices still reasonable. staff helpful with good English. the fish with noodles and vegetables was perfect. free bread. large portion enough for sharing. great views. great mix of luxury and affordability. a must if in the area.

Red Bean is part of La Siesta hotel, both are fantastic in terms of ambience, staff service and location. Had a solo dinner here on a weekday as I’m on business trip — ordered the Hanoi set at 30 USD which includes 4 courses with very generous portions. Love the Hanoi style fish (“Cha ca La Vong” – fried fish with turmeric, garnished with sautéed scallions and dill, and served with vermicelli and dipping sauce). This is probably one of my top 3 favourite fish dish among global cuisines!
The service is excellent (special thanks to T who’s extra attentive and taught me how to best enjoy the Hanoi fish).

Came in for a dinner and we were seated immediately. We were served by Hungg and loved his service! He is very professional and helped us understand how to eat all the different dishes. We were pleasantly surprised by some complimentary appetisers to start and small drink at the end to finish which was a true testament to how well he looked after us.
The food was absolutely delicious and highly recommend the grilled fish as well as Hanoi pork. Didn’t feel rushed at all and Hungg was excellent at checking in and making sure everything was all good. He definitely helped make the dining experience even better!

Outstanding service. Amazing food. We only tried the Vietnamese options of the menu. Fresh and traditional Vietnamese food with a touch. Christina, our host for the night, looked after us throughout the dinner and assisted us with the choices we made and provided helpful advises for us to try the food properly. She also gave us good hints for our stay and recommended some places to visit in Hanoi. A place to come back… Definitely, we’ll do it before leaving Vietnam.
