I cannot recommend this place higher. The fish is always top quality. The staff are kind and attentive, the chefs are incredible, and did I mention how amazing the fish always is? This is my favorite sushi spot in the South Bay, I highly highly recommend that everyone check this place out.

Left really annoyed I paid $45. The sushi was simply not good. The roll was mid and the nigiri was terrible (both in flavor and texture). Fish did not taste fresh at all and rice was sub par.

Hana Haru is exactly what they say it is. It’s laid back and pretty good sushi! We got here 20 minutes before they closed and they were so nice about it. We will definitely recommend this place if you want sushi in a relaxed chill environment.

Went to get some sushi and found this place in downtown El Segundo. Ok sushi! A little high on their specialty rolls. Nothing that I would go back for but pretty good.

This place feels, smells and looks like this soap in their restroom. Something you don’t want to touch…

Came here with my wife and two kids, the table was sticky, the place where we set smelled like pee.

Sushi was ok, but lady who serviced us didn’t bring soy souse and I had to ask someone else for it.

When I paid for the order another lady brought the bill, but didn’t bring the credit card back. With all the hustle I forgot about the credit card and only found that I left it next day.

When I returned back they gave me the credit card without any apologies. Would avoid this place under any circumstances.

I saw the wonderful reviews and how delicious their food look from fellow Google reviewers and thought I should check it out, which I did. The restaurant is well maintained, clean and spacious. Customer service was great and food were served pretty quickly.

In terms of food, I thought they were not spectacular. There are definitely better sushi places. We ordered the beef teriyaki, sashimi roll and shrimp soy paper roll.

– Beef teriyaki: This was probably my favorite dish of that day. Sauce were not too salty and with a slight touch of sweetness. The steak were juicy and fresh. It also came with a miso soup, how good was the miso soup? Well, let’s just say that I didn’t leave a single drop of the soup when I was done with my meal.

– Sashimi roll: This was alright, sashimi were fresh, but I think the sushi rice could be better. They didn’t feel tasty enough and rice were kind of sticky.

– Shrimp soy paper roll: This was the most disappointing out of the bunch. There were just lots of meat but the they tasted really bland and again, the sushi rice was mediocre. I didn’t taste any soy in this shrimp soy paper roll. Interesting.

I believe I might have just ordered the wrong dishes, so I would be updating my review when I have tried the other dishes. I believe that when a restaurant achieves a rating of 4.5 or higher after 155 reviews, there must be a good reason for it. Therefore, I would revise my review after a couple of visits later in the near future to give a more accurate and fair review.

Worst sushi of my life.

Just go down the street (1 minute walk) to Kagura instead.

Soy sauce was expired by 1 year. When they brought a new bottle, it was also expired by 1 year and smelled like alcohol. Rice was low quality. Rolls fell apart. Very little avocado in my avocado cucumber roll.

Miso soup was not drinkable. Way way way too salty.

And look at the picture of what I got when I ordered a tofu avocado roll…

Staff was nice.

I recently visited this sushi bar, and I was blown away by the experience. The staff was attentive, knowledgeable, and friendly, making sure we had everything we needed without feeling rushed. The sushi was some of the best I’ve ever had—exceptionally fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The ambiance was stylish and calming, with just the right balance of energy to make it a lively yet relaxing place to dine. Definitely a top-tier sushi spot—highly recommend!
