This place is super unique in its collection of colourful glass mosaics depicting Mayan culture and the island. Very exquisite detail. The interior is a mish mash of colours, almost like xmases past never end there and fiestas held there aren’t fully torn down. It’s eclectic to say the least. Service was tremendous. Options on the menu are not a lot, so disappointing. The actual steak isn’t what’s pictured, it’s far thinner cut and a little sinewy. However it had decent flavour and the veggies and perfectly baked potato is a nice accompaniment. The lobster tails (3 fairly small, but filling), were alright. A bit dry with super buttery garlic on the side. I was surprised that the soup which was thin in texture but flavourful was priced at $8 US. Felt like half a bowl. It was accompanied by some delicious garlic focaccia bread though. I wished there were more items on the menu. I do understand why keeping things simple on a menu can be the only way to survive in these times, especially since it feels like it’s not a destination restaurant.

Family restaurant with a first class service. If you have a large group of people, ask for the seafood parrillada, believe me you wont regret it. Thank you to all at Gusto’s for making our dinner so unbelievable.
Sincerely
Eric.

If you’re looking for a great place to eat that’s off the beaten path then look no further. The staff is amazing and the fresh seafood is outstanding. You also get to jam out to 80’s music on a retro MTV playlist while dining. Highly recommend!

We stayed near this restaurant but didn’t see many cars there so we hesitated to go try it but on our last night we came here and now regretting not coming sooner.
The food was delicious- our table had a seafood platter and fajitas. Everything was so tasty. The staff were so kind and friendly. It seemed like their were returning guests there as the staff were very excited to see some people which is always a hood sign (having regular customers).
We will definitely be back and I recommend you to go visit here.

Shhh don’t tell anybody about the islands best kept secret restaurant! Much larger than it looks. We stayed next door at Suites Cozumel and walked over nightly for their famous lobster pizza, icey Pina coladas and key lime pies yum!

Absolutely amazing. If I could give this place 10 stars, I would. Service was fantastic, food was delicious and the atmosphere is very cozy and unique.
Each member of the staff approached us with friendly smiles on their faces. We ordered the Lobster
Bisque as the appetizer then the special sea food platter for two. Hands down the best sea food we’ve ever had. The table beside us ordered one of the pizzas and also cleared their plate with smiles on their faces. We will be going there again. Also, please know they take credit card.

Lobster pizza is average. Ceviche was okay. We ate here on at least two occasions and had good service but only okay pizza both times.

My wife and our friends stayed at Dreams not far from Gusto’s. I had the pleasure of eating dinner here twice and it was fantastic! Much better than anything we ate at the resort. They had delicious bread, excellent lobster bisque, and a seafood platter that had lobster, crab, mahi mahi, and shrimp on it. Everything was so good! The homemade guacamole and chips were also excellent. Wonderful experience! It was expensive but worth every penny!

If there’s one dish that will haunt your taste buds long after you’ve left, it’s the King Crab at Gusto’s Restaurant in Cozumel, Mexico. My introduction to this unforgettable meal was thanks to a chance encounter with a gentleman named Terry Curry after an open play pickleball session at PikaPok Paradise Pickleball Facility. He shared stories of crabs and other amazing sea life he had seen diving off the coast of Cozumel and I knew that I had to try the local seafood fare. Little did I know, Terry would lead me to the most incredible crab I’ve ever tasted.
Before the spectacular arrival of the King Crab, I had the pleasure of starting my meal with a lobster bisque—rich, velvety, and full of depth. It was the perfect soup to wet my appetite and set the stage for the dish I traveled the island to try.
I’ve had my fair share of crab across the globe, but nothing compares to this masterpiece. The crab was an absolute revelation—succulent, meaty, and cooked to sheer perfection. Each bite was an ethereal experience, with the tender, flaky flesh practically melting in your mouth. You can taste the love from the chef in the preparation of this dish, as the crab was unadulterated by over seasoning or thick, heavy, sauce.
The natural sweetness of the crab was so exquisite that the thought of dipping it into butter never even crossed my mind—though the butter, rich and delicious with the nostalgic taste of movie theater popcorn flavor, would undoubtedly be a luxury if you chose to indulge. But honestly, it wasn’t needed. The crab alone was so flawless, it stood as the star of the show.
Every waking moment since my meal has been consumed by thoughts of those delicate, decadent morsels. I am utterly infatuated, and I hate that I have to travel a whopping 1768 miles (2845 kilometers) to relive the magic of this King Crab at Gusto’s again. If you’re ever in Cozumel, do yourself a favor—this dish is a must-try, and it might just ruin all future crab experiences for you. Absolute perfection.
