Ok local bbq restaurant. Staff was friendly and food was ok.
Went for lunch a little after 12 noon and ordered the bbq chicken plate. Was told they didnt make the bbq chicken yet. Ordered the pulled pork instead.
Turnip geens were canned, but cole slaw and bbq was ok.

I was extremely shocked with the rating for this restaurant. The customer service and breakfast sandwiches/breakfast menu deserve a 5 by themselves . You’re always greeted with a smile and that goes a long way in my opinion. The lunch items I tried were the hot dogs, cheeseburger, fries and the hamburger steak and fried chicken. The sides are great also. Please support this business because they are extremely hardworking individuals. I don’t know the workers on a personal level and I wasn’t encouraged by them to write a review. It was a personal decision and opinion I have chosen to share due to how they treat their customers and how great their food taste.

Authentic BBQ experience. Take your time; peruse the menu. Get the sweet tea. Refill it.

only ate at the bbq barn a few times, out of those times I’ve had their Beef tips and rice -that’s pretty good as well as their omelettes. My favorite thing so far is their bacon cheeseburger. In my opinion it’s really good and tastes so much better than any CB I’ve had from anywhere else around here. The girls that work at the BBQ barn are very friendly, can be somewhat silly (to make you laugh) and go out of their way in being helpful their customers…. Something that is rare these days!
It’s to bad they close at 2pm everyday, that’s the one thing I don’t like.

Food is OK. Favorite is meat loaf on Wednesdays. A little understaffed. Can sometimes take a while to get served. I have walked out on three occasions. Once for poor service. Twice for not having food ready and not wanting to be late for work. Not bad. But not worth the wait either. Update: walked out again for poor service. Never going back. Reducing to one star.

The meats were very good and a good portion size. I had the meatloaf and thoroughly enjoyed it. The sides were a bit bland, but greasy. The BBQ sandwich was also very good, and they had a variety of sauces from which to choose. There are 2 dining rooms with booths and tables with comfortable chairs. The 2nd dining area also has a TV. The BBQ Barn was not too far off the Interstate and a nice change from chain restaurants

This place is just okay. Nothing great but the food is mostly palatable and the staff are very friendly and helpful. Definitely a home town sort of place. I find their pork to be dried out and chewy. I will give three stars because I will probably go back but I probably don’t need to get the pork again.

I came into town at dinner/supper time, and both my daughter and I were hungry for a meal that had a good entree with vegetables. The BBQ Barn was the only place that has that combination. Admittedly, I arrived at their place about a half hour before they closed, and I’m sure the young lady who served me was tired, but she didn’t seem to make any effort to smile or greet me or show any Indication that it might be pleasant to have another person to contribute to their volume of business and thus her income. Since they were sold out of the entree I wanted, she showed no interest in suggesting another one I might enjoy. She apparently has had no customer service training or instruction on the discussion of menu items. When I asked her whether the hot dogs are all beef, she said she doesnt like or eat hot dogs so she didn’t know! Does she need to like and eat every item on the menu in order to know even the most basic informon about it?! Of course not! Anyway, I asked very little after that, but the food was a good meal and I’ll give them one more time to help me feel better about their service. I acknowledge that BBQ BARN clearly employs high school young people, and that’s commendable, but they also need to train the. at least in the basic subtleties of food service. Even for a small restaurant, those seemingly “little things” mean the difference in customers who return and spread good words about your business and food quality vs, customers who don’t return and spread the bad word about your business.
One of the girls working the front line called out “Mom” to those in the back area cooking, so I realize at least one of the girls was the daughter of one of the cooks (owner?), and I had to wonder if the reason the girls didn’t even talk to one another or appear to be interested in assisting each other was related to that familial connection. This little restaurant has good, well prepared food, so I hope they will work on the improvement of their training of these young people who are obviously old enough to work yet are not yet old enough to have already been trained how to present themselves and their employer’s business well.

I’m a firm believer that you shouldn’t be quick to judge. Despite the dilapidated building I decided to give this place a try! Big mistake! The only reason why I’m giving BBQ Barn 2 stars is because the customer service is superb, the food on the other hand is less than desirable. I got a BBQ chicken plate with turnip greens and string beans. To say it was disgusting is an understatement. The greens and beans taste like they had been soaked in water, definitely from a can and they lacked any type of seasoning. The chicken was horrible and I will just leave it at that. Again, if it wasn’t for the exceptional customer service this place would get a negative zero. I’m sticking to Bob’s BBQ in Creedmoor. That is all.
