Unfortunately, the night I went there was an operational meltdown. The first brew I ordered -they were out. Then the first side I ordered -they were out. Apparently they were also low on water because I had to ask three different staff before I received one. Then there was the wait for food. Mind you this was not a crowded time. I sipped through the two beers waiting. The server indicated that mine was on the way. I waited and waited and considered just leaving. A nearby table waited and waited to pay their check and walked in the restaurant to get it done. Nothing seemed to be working properly.
I ordered BBQ tips and received chopped meat that was not a tip. The collard greens were overcooked and the grilled corn must have sat too long or was overcooked. However, the mini corn breads were delightful.
The server did comp one of my beers after she said she “battled” with the manager. I only thought “Holy … Mackerel!!”
Today, what I ate was not important (skillet breakfast), but oh lord, the atmosphere you cannot, cannot get anywhere else other than Holy Holy Mackerel @Wilton Manor. Thank you Nick and management for hosting our Meetup group, not just this Sunday, but all the other events, karaoke
This establishment is like a warm blanket, a roaring fire on a Winter night. Its just comfortable. To go to Holy, you better be comfortable in your skin. Those girls will give you a run for your gender.
Get singles, and have fun for the 12:30 or 1:30 drag brinh shows.
We went an embarrassing 4 rounds of crab legs .
Nick was our waiter and he was really amazing. He kept putting in orders before we even knew we wanted them. Also, it was happy hour- two for one drinks. #GLUTTONY #DELICIOUS
It’s located at little north of Wilton Manors, easy parking available and plenty seating available outside too.
The meats were fantastic, great portions and tasty flavor. My favorite was the bbq pork but all the meats were very tender and plentiful of delicious flavor.
For the side orders the grilled corn was really good and although I really don’t care for the Mac cheese, i did tried it and it was marvelous!
For the craft beers we opted for a flight. All the beers had a very special flavor, I reordered my favorite the Belgian Golden Ale.
Our server was Lily, she was fantastic, very energetic and professional. We had such a great experience provided by everyone there including Silvia and the manager on duty. Everyone was so friendly and hospitable.
Thanks everyone for your hospitality!
Attended an event for School of Rock here, and honestly was very disappointed.
There were about 150 people here with only 2 servers.
Everyone had to order from the bar, ate last the bartender was nice and polite though he was drowning with dinning rooms orders and bar food orders and drinks of course.
Mac and cheese was good though unfortunately I can’t say the same about burgers. Burgers are simple and tastes bad, not impressed at all.
Again the worst part was not having servers for a restaurant expecting 100 plus customers the restaurant was very unprepared for the event.
Never again!!
