– Great place to stop and grab lunch/dinner.
– Food is flavorful and cooked well.
– Quick service and friendly staff. But they also don’t hover.

The carne asada tacos are killer. My favorite food to get here. Add a bit of sour cream and verde and it’ll be your new favorite food.

I love stopping here for a chill lunch when I just want some time to myself. I recommend trying whatever drink they have going that day.

Had a great dinner here last night. My hubby ordered the Steak Plate with rice and beans, and I had the Pastor Nachos. Both came out fresh and hot, and the flavors were super good. We were given two different salsa options, and they were both tasty, although I liked the green sauce the best. I also loved that they serve Jamaica as a beverage option. (Hibiscus flower drink).
Portions were very large, and the prices were extremely reasonable. The restaurant was spotlessly clean, and the owner came around twice to check on us. As we were leaving, he also mentioned a new meat they were offering as an option….It is called Arabe….a seasoned pork. He even cooked a small portion for us to taste and it was amazing. Very nice experience. We will definitely go back again soon.

This place absolutely rocks. My husband and I get it so much both individually and together! It’s not just our favorite spot for Mexican food, it’s the food spot we go to the most, hands down. The tablitas, tacos, burritos — everything is always super fresh and packed with flavor. You can tell it’s made by people who really care and love what they do.

The sides are always fun and different, which we love, and the whole vibe is just great. The staff is super kind, and the space is always clean and well taken care of. Just an all-around gem — we’re so glad it exists.

Been craving late-night street tacos but didn’t want to make a far drive from home? We found this hidden gem and decided to give it a try tonight! My wife and I were amazed by the quality of food that we were served, these tacos were LOADED. They ain’t those regular little bitty street tacos you normally get at most places, it was bigger and they were loaded with tons of flavor! I know that this will be a place I’ll be coming to more often for tacos of this size and quality! Towards the end of our experience, the owner came and asked us if we were willing to try Arabe a type of meat and he went out of his way to make us a taco fresh from the back to just have us taste test. Best first experience ever and we were very happy!!! The staff here were very friendly and the whole establishment was very very clean!!!

This place is a hidden gem. Don’t let the view from the street fool you. You can dine in. And the owners/staff were extremely friendly and helpful.

The carnitas street tacos were beyond delicious. Fresh, juicy, and filled perfectly. And packed with flavor. The beans had a solid kick to them. I was expecting “standard, bland, chain Mexican restaurant refried beans”. Definitely the best tacos I’ve had in a while.

I WILL be back to try more. The owner told me about a new item he’s starting tomorrow!

Being from San Antonio, Texas, this is the best Mexican food I had in Huntsville. It’s authentic and very good. The service was amazing and I’m really glad I found this place.

Absolutely amazing! The steak tacos were packed with flavor—juicy, tender, and perfectly seasoned. You can tell the ingredients are fresh, from the crisp veggies to the warm, soft tortillas. The chicken rice meal was just as incredible—moist, flavorful chicken paired with perfectly cooked rice and just the right blend of spices. Everything tasted clean, fresh, and made with care. It’s clear that quality ingredients and attention to detail went into every bite. Highly recommend! What are the best Mexican restaurants in Huntsville.

We visited Cinco de Mayo on Meridian and Oakwood in Huntsville, Alabama, and unfortunately, our experience was quite disappointing. While the restaurant has great reviews about authenticity and food quality, the pricing strategy and portioning really soured the visit for us.

We came in around 6 PM to find the place empty. The menu is small and the pricing is definitely on the higher side, more in the $20+ per person range. For example, a basic meal is about $15, and even a set of three tacos runs around $12 without any sides.

What really stood out in a negative way was their dinner-for-two option. It included two meats, tortillas, and some basic toppings, but the portions were misleading. We ended up with mostly pork (about 75-80%) and very little steak, all chopped up like ground beef. Plus, they only provided six small tortillas for two people. When we asked for more, they charged an extra $3.50 for another six tiny tortillas, which just felt like a ripoff.

In the end, while the food quality might be decent, the way they handle pricing and portions seems underhanded. Because of that, I can’t recommend this place.

One of the best AUTHENTIC Mexican spots in Huntsville. Their menu can be hard to find but I went and took these pictures on April 25, 2025. Be mindful everything is not served all the time. Breakfast, lunch, dinner. Etc.
