The food was incredible. I got the Tom Yum Noodle Soup with Shrimp and I got it with a 3 heat and it was delicious, flavorful, and the perfect amount of heat. I got mine with the wide noodles and they are so silky. One of the best Thai places I’ve ever been too.

This is a pleasing little restaurant in the historic Jackson Ward section of the city. It’s a nice date spot, lunch, or family dinner. Wonderful place to give your taste buds a new sensation of fresh flavors. I got my orders to go but the gentleman who took our orders walked us through the menu and helped us decide on some good options. I would recommend the appetizer sampler. And I’ll definitely be going back to try some of their juices.

Our party of 4 was seated immediately but waited over 30 mins for our food, with the server not really checking in on us during the entire duration. We were also given two joint tables when we could’ve sat at just one, especially since there were other parties waiting to be seated that ended up just leaving.
When the food arrived, the cabbage and vegetables in the tom kha soup were still very crunchy and undercooked. Another friend also ordered the tom yum with chicken instead of shrimp but it was still served shrimp in the end. The pad thai and mango tilapia were delicious at least and I have no other complaints about the food!
The restaurant also serves plastic water bottles instead of glasses, which was fine until we were charged for them on our receipt when we thought it would be free like any other place.
I might have just been hangry at the time, but I might explore other food options in Richmond before returning back here.

I stopped by this restaurant when I was trying to kill time and I must say I’m happy I ended up going. The customer service was wonderful I felt really welcomed as soon as I walked in. The restaurant was very clean and not really busy at the time which I appreciated. The man that greeted me was super nice and explained the specials of the day. The food came out quickly and was hot and delicious. I ended up ordering a seafood hot pot. This was my first time having this dish and I was not disappointed. The seafood was fresh juicy and flavorful. I also ordered the Thai basil spring rolls and they were SO fresh and delicious. The avocado sauce they serve with it made it even better. The hostess saw I was running low on the sauce and before I could ask for more she was on her way with it! They knew the perfect times to check in on me and made sure I was comfortable the entire time. I will definitely plan to go back next time I’m in the area.

Ordered thru Uber Eats. Specifically ticked the box to request utensils etc. Order came without utensils. We are in a hotel with food and no way to eat it!!!
If the Uber eats option to request utensils was not available we would have skipped this place and looked for some other option.
Had to drive to a convenience store and arrange for plates and forks etc. Defeating the whole premise and benefit of ordering delivery.
Good food, but absolutely ruined evening thanks to ignoring basic instructions.

We were in town for a conference and we absolutely loved this place! We were here for only 3 days and we came twice it was so delicious! The food was all high quality and the service was wonderful! The owner is very kind.
They do have a spice range of 1-5. I will say that if your spice tolerance is low, I’d keep to 1 or 2. Great flavor though!

Remembering delicious Thai on a past Richmond trip at Patio Thai, Yelp directed us to Jackson Ward to another five star-rated Thai spot- Thai Studio. After eating a Sunday lunch here, we left a little disappointed. It’s not as good as Patio Thai, but still worth a visit. Here’s our experience:
1) Food: Most of the food was good. My green chicken curry was flavorful and the level two spice was just right. My six-year-old daughter loved the mild version. The mango and sticky rice was huge and good. However, the papaya salad was not spicy at all.
2) Space: It’s a no-frills space with plenty of seating. A single restroom is in the back.
3) Service: The man who took our orders is very kind. Spacing between dishes was a little slow when the space wasn’t crowded, but still overall good service.

Absolutely the best. Had the yellow curry (not pictured) with crispy chicken- AMAZING! Fried rice.. chicken dumplings, spring rolls (not pictured) and sexy shrimp.. delicious!!! The owner is so incredibly nice and welcoming. I would definitely recommend eating in!

It was absolutely to die for. I have been to Thailand a few times in my life and was always chasing that type of good flavor. Came into town for an event, and boy, did it not disappoint it was absolutely delicious. The presentation was also on point.

I’ve been frequenting this place for about a year now and have had yet to have a bad experience! Staff is always super friendly and the food is always incredibly flavorful. They don’t compromise on spice at all! Plus their lunch prices are pretty affordable too. Best Thai in Richmond by far! If I were to recommend a dish, it’d have to be the Stewed Pork, Especially with that marinated egg it includes. Delicious!
