Stopped in for Monday wing night for first time in here for a minute. Wings were excellent. Bartenders and people here are always great. Shoutout to Taylor the bartender for incredible service. Watched the Cavs and Monday Night Football while eating wings and enjoying a shot and a beer. Mango Habanero and Jamaican Jerk wings were particularly good on this stop. Hidden food gem of Stark County and Canton here.

We was looking for somewhere we have never been before and came across Nelson’s Bar and Grill. The service was great and the food wasn’t bad. The specials they are offer are pretty good. We will definitely be back to watch football and take advantage of the specials.

I had a reuben sandwich in honor of St. Patrick day. It came with French fries. Both were tasty.
I will be back for trivia night on Wednesdays.
Parking lot out front.
It’s easy to find since it’s the first building in a strip of businesses.
Friendly and helpful staff.
Large menu and plenty of choices of food and drinks.

Stopped in for a quick bite to eat. I got a spicy burger and my girlfriend got the fried green tomatoes. The food was tasty and came out fast. The service was just a little slow but still good. I recommend this place for good food and the local atmosphere.

Not the place for corned beef on St. Patty’s Day. I paid $15 for cabbage and potatoes. We got there about 6:15pm, had a Guiness and took the food to go. We went to another bar and played a few games at D&B before getting home around 9pm. We never opened the container until we got home. My husband and I received no corned beef in our containers. I had to drive back to Canton after already arriving home in Alliance. So I had to use more gas to go back to get the food I should have gotten in the first place. I’m giving 2 stars instead of 1 cause they gave me an okay size portion for my husband and I and it tasted good. It’s just that the fact I had to waste another $10 in gas to drive back to get my order corrected. I was already in a bad mood from a disappointing holiday cause Ohio doesn’t know how to celebrate anything so this would have been the best thing to happen all day but it was just another Ohio disappointment. Guess I’ll just drive 6 hours to go to Chicago to get a proper st. Patty’s day.

As a person that likes to support small businesses, I have to warn you of this establishment, Nelson’s Bar and Grill. It’s run like there are no rules. Every visit I’ve made, staff have been openly drinking while working — the same people serving customers. There’s no sense of management or professionalism, and it shows.

Cleanliness is lacking: some staff look unkempt, a few had dirty shoes, and overall hygiene feels ignored. The atmosphere is chaotic, like nobody’s in charge. I did see one employee trying to keep things professional and likely was the sole reason anyone was eating here, they were the exception, I believe her name is Taylor. Everyone else looked confused as if they needed step by step instructions on how to operate. I overheard two ladies complaining about being on shift, that said alot as well.

The food is nothing special — most of it tastes processed or frozen — and definitely not worth the trip. It looks like standards here don’t exist.

Until this restaurant has some serious changes in leadership, staff training, and basic respect for themselves and others, I would not recommend. Its not worth a try. Beware; Don’t put much faith into the ones serving you here.

The fries were good, but the fish seemed overcooked and barely done at the same time.
This place is more for people who just want to watch sports and have food to snack on.
The server was friendly but served a very red burger after he was asked twice to make sure it was well done when ordered.
I’m not going to get into how the issue was resolved, but I guess we were lucky we didn’t get a random hoof and pickled gator knuckles.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

The food? Absolutely magnificent. The service? Great. The professionalism? Nonexistent—and that’s the real shame, because this place has SO much potential!

Some might ask: “If the food and service were good, why isn’t this glowing?” Simple—the service was only good because of Taylor behind the bar. You could tell she was trying hard to stay professional while employees and regulars were acting out. She’s clearly there to work hard and earn her tips, but there was no manager in sight to back her up.

Meanwhile, whoever was making the occasional appearance (I believe her name was Tabi) offered nothing more than casual small talk and seemed completely disengaged—even while guests were sitting inside. That’s a problem.

Honestly, Gordon Ramsay needs to walk in here and light a fire under the owner. The kitchen isn’t the issue—the food is excellent. The real problem is a lack of professionalism and standards.

For example: I never expect to see my server take a shot right in front of me before grabbing my drinks. It might seem small, but it leaves a lasting negative impression.

This place could easily be the talk of the town if the owner would:
• Hold staff accountable
• Set clear standards
• Run the front of house with the same care as the kitchen

Right now, I don’t even know how it’s making money. The only reason I gave 5 stars is because the food is phenomenal and the staff are nice people. But they need to remember they’re at work—not hanging out as customers.
