We enjoyed our night out, they made us feel super comfy when we arrived early and offered us the draft/cocktail menu while we waited. Then dinner was super amazing loved everything even tempted us with dessert! Definitely worth visiting again!

This was great. Check out their menu first. Very interesting takes and twists on the menu. And great desserts and atmosphere. The service was super attentive & conscientious and everything was worth the price.

Good dinner place in cuse city! Although it was very busy at the night we visited the restaurant. Bring definitely a light sweater when you come by (as a European) as it’s a bit chilly. The food is very delicious – Can recommend the truffle pasta 10/10! Our waitress was very kind and was aware what we needed for our table. (some good drinks ;))

Place was very crowded & overwhelmingly loud. Expect to pay for parking on the weekends. Service was great. Cocktails were good but food was overall on the salty side. Pork Chop was undercooked and the Linguine Catalan was swimming in oil ;(

We dined as a party of six and ordered four appetizers: bacon mac and cheese, tenderloin skewers, chicken wings, and meatballs. The mac and cheese was watery and lacked flavor. The tenderloin skewers were tender but oddly sweet. The meatballs were good, and while the wings tasted fine, they were very small.
For entrées, we ordered three 24-oz ribeyes, a pork chop, and two pasta dishes. The ribeyes were just okay and not worth the $65 price tag—especially when places like Delmonico’s offer better-quality steaks for about half the price. One ribeye came with creamed spinach, which tasted more like steamed spinach in salt water. The pork chop was a good size but underwhelming in flavor, and the kimchi fried rice that came with it was bland with poor consistency. The truffle strozzapreti was decent but nothing special, while the Calabrian rigate was very good and one of the better dishes we had.
The mixed drinks were good. Dessert was the highlight—the cookie and s’mores skillet was very good. Service was also a positive; both the waitress and waiter were friendly and attentive. Overall, we were surprised when the bill totaled $615, which felt difficult to justify given the overall food quality.

Our visit to The York was highlighted by the ambiance of the restaurant and the FANTASTIC service from our server Daisia (remember Greenville). The cocktails were good, especially during the happy hour discount. The raw bar was very good, and our entrees were good. Pricing is reasonable, especially if you take advantage of the deals during happy hour. We enjoyed our night, and would certainly return.

The York….what can I say other than AMAZING!! This place is packed and well worth it! We ordered the Poutine to start and if I would have known it was this good, it would have been my meal! But nevertheless, I ordered a Filet Mignon with Mac and cheese and it was cooked med-rare to perfection! Mac and Cheese was also amazing! I included a photo of my colleague’s pasta dish (can’t remember the name) but it was also good! If you are in downtown Syracuse don’t sleep on this one, check out The York! You won’t be disappointed!

Bartender was amazing. Ordered a rib eye, well done, that came out RARE, not even medium well, and sent it back. It came back out RARE again, I asked if it was a steak that could be cooked well done before sending it back, they said yes they’d be able to Cook it well done. Food was very underwhelming. Had truffle pasta, chicken tacos and flat bread. I’ll stop in for drinks but not food.

The restaurant has a young, classy vibe, and the food was delicious. Even the dishes that weren’t quite to our taste were still well-prepared and beautifully presented. The waitstaff was friendly and lighthearted, which made the experience even better. Our waiter Michael was knowledgeable and a great time! Highly recommend (plus, there’s a cute pub next door that’s perfect for post-dinner drinks and darts).

Unexpected delight @yorkcny last night

I was immediately charmed by the ambience– black shiny brick, big mirrors, and lots of green plants surrounded attractive seating– and hoped the food would measure up.

The pork chop was well-cooked and flavorful but even more delicious was the egg and fried rice that surrounded it. The presentation was lovely (see little flower!!!)

The bone marrow appetizer was delicious, assuming you enjoy Gorgonzola (I do)

The pasta’s size was shockingly generous, and it was creamy and flavorful. The Calabrian peppers definitely gave it a nice kick.

The Snicker’s cookie topped with ice cream was exactly what I wanted– straight-forward, simple, and nostalgic.

As for the drinks, I wasn’t drinking tonight but my friend ordered the [Not Your Mama’s] Amaretto Sour which featured an overproof rum and was absolutely insanely delicious. Would highly recommend.

Will be returning likely this summer to grab a table in the lovely outdoor section!
