I recently had the honor of meeting the young, amazing cake designer who made my son and daughter in law’s GORGEOUS VINTAGE WEDDING CAKE on Saturday, October 11,2025! Not only was this cake so beautiful, it was positively delicious and enjoyed by all! Thank you, NATE, for sharing your extraordinary talent! When I went to return the gorgeous, gold tray that I rented from Olexa’s, I had the honor of also meeting and sharing with Betty and Alisha! These are wonderful ladies who are such a strategic part of the amazing team that makes Diane Olexa’s restaurant so very special, intimate, and certainly, delicious!!! I loved every bite of my fabulous lunch there with my best friend and had Payton as our wonderful waitress who made sure that our dining experience was delicious and memorable! I can assure you, Diane, that your beloved parents are smiling down upon you for the beautiful legacy you continue in their loving memory and honor in helping make such precious memories for others, including my son, his wife, me, my family and friends, in serving such delicious food and beautiful desserts and cakes! Olexa’s never disappoints. This beautiful cake was crafted especially for my family and gifted to us to enjoy the day of my mother’s funeral. Not only was it beautiful with all of her names on it, It was extremely moist and the icing was perfectly sweet and balanced! Family from Mississippi and others raved about it. It is hands down our favorite cake!!!

I went here for lunch on a Monday. The restaurant had a nice interior and cool cakes on display. I ordered the beef and cheddar chipotle panini with chips. I thought the sandwich tasted good but needed more meat. The chips were good, nothing I haven’t had before though. I also had the vanilla and chocolate cakes for desert. Both were super good and fresh. Personally I think the chocolate was better because it was the right amount of sweetness and richness. The staff were friendly and service was quick. Good spot to grab lunch but also a good spot to just get a nice cake.

OMG the food here is Absolutely Amazing! And the desserts are out of this world. The restaurant is beautiful and the staff is Incredible. Ms. Diane, the owner, is a Sweetheart. She is like family to my Husband and me. She always remembers us when we come in. She is Never to busy to speak to us. She did our wedding cake almost 4 years ago and it was Amazing. It doesn’t matter if you have a small or a large wedding she is happy to help and does an Amazing job. I can’t say Enough Great things about Olexa’s Catering!

The service is amazing! We have used Olexas for years and she never disappoints. I Ordered my birthday cake and she surprised me with the shape I wanted and I was so happy I cried in the Cafe. The staff is so sweet and professional but very caring. Olexas Cafe is the only bakery I would choose. They are beautifully decorated, they taste amazing and her prices are also affordable.

Yesterday was my first time at Olexa’s and the experience was great. Our waitress was very helpful with her recommendations for a first-timer. She recommended the Smoked Turkey Sandwich with a side salad. It was delicious and came out quickly given there was a full house at lunchtime. We also had a slice of the quiche of the day which was also delicious. By the end of my meal, I was very full but of course, there’s always room for dessert. She raved about the cake and it did not disappoint. I had a slice of the warm buttercream cake. It was so good!! I’ve been raving about Olexa’s since yesterday and will return with family and friends.

Could not have asked for a better experience! I came on a night when they were serving dinner. exceptional food, service, and atmosphere for a very fair price. The salad was fresh, the soup was flavorful and the panini was warm and delicious.
Ended the afternoon with a slice of their cake. Large portion of warm cake with the best icing you have ever tasted. Don’t miss out on this hidden gem! I was beyond impressed and will be returning. This blew your typical soup and salad cafe out of the water. If you are on your way to McAlister’s Deli now is your time to turn around!!

Diane Olexa & her team were so wonderful for our wedding cake! They arrived to the venue earlier than expected and decorated our already beautiful cake with (real) flowers that matched our greenery/white theme! We are so thankful to them for being a part of making our big day so great! There was an accidental mix up with a part of the cake but Diane more than made up for it after the fact and the cake was still just as delicious the way it was made! Thank you so much!
