I was there for the lunch. The general atmosphere was nice but I can not say the same for the service. The staff seemed quite nervous for that reason asking for something could be a bit challenging. Moreover the street dogs were walking around the tables and were eating the food which the customers thrown.

Excellent garden view. Secluded, surrounded by gardens and trees, creating a dining experience similar to tropical forest. Food is good. For a government owned facility, they do have an assortment of dinner items, including lobster and shrimps. Typical Cuban cuisine. Excellent service.

The best place in Habana to have lunch or dinner! They have the best rice and beans, their chicken is very,very, very good. This place is the best place to eat after arriving Cuba or before leaving Cuba. Service is good and prices are reasonable. Ask for Jorge the “Super”, he will do everything he can to give you the best memorable meal and experience of La Aljibe.

We had the baked chicken and the ropa vieja. Everything was excellent. What I didn’t like is that our server wrote our receipt by hand on a paper and added 10% gratuity as well. I didn’t like that. I’m a Chef at a 5 star restaurant and would’ve tipped you so much more. Bad move on your part.

Well, where do I begin…..Everyone I know has been coming to this CLASSIC CUBAN RESTAURANT since their first trip. Its the most famous government run eating establishment in CUBA. They classic dish is roasted CHICKEN MEAL;unlimited amounts of everything…~$12 usd pp comes with rice beans yucca con mojo plantain chips salad. SADLY when I went at 3pm in the end of APRIL 2022, I couldn’t believe it: THEY WERE OUT OF CHICKEN ♂️ ❓ Was it because of ♂️❓the black market of currency has made inventory of goods difficultand inflation and the CUC disappearence and many other reasons. SO, my freinds got a shriump dish in sauice that they all loved and I had two lobster tails grilled for $7 that was superb. this crayz day had new rules. NO Cockatils-one beer PER MEAL per person ♂️ and I had the WORST ICE CREAM EVER ❌ DO NOT GET THE NASTY ICE CREAM!!!
