I’m so glad to have Monterrey Tacos in town! I tried the quesabarria tacos and the street tacos with chicken. The quesabarria taco was absolutely phenomenal, and I would definitely get it again. The street tacos were also good but they have a good bit of onion on them and then they are served with sautéed onions on the side. So it’s a bit of an overload. The ingredients seemed very fresh. The service was friendly and extremely quick! I was so impressed and I’m looking forward to coming again! Keep up the good work!

Seriously—those tortillas were next-level. Soft, flavorful, and clearly not here to play. The kind of tortilla that makes you rethink every taco you’ve ever eaten before it.
The flavors were authentic, bold, and clean—nothing muddy, nothing fake, just straight-up delicious. Every bite felt like it knew exactly what it was supposed to be.
Service was friendly, easygoing, and made the whole place feel welcoming instead of rushed. Just good people serving great food.

My chicken soft tacos were so good. I tried several sauces and the flavors were great, even the extra hot one. (Sorry I can’t remember the names of them) Staff are super friendly and atmosphere is great. Will definitely go again!

Mid food priced well beyond what it should cost. I got a birria quesadilla and was not impressed. The meat was bland and I honestly couldn’t tell if this was pork or beef, but it reminded me of grandma’s roast beef if it was shredded; stringy and flavorless. Also paid for loaded french fries with vegetables that were supposedly pretty good. Add two fountain drinks and the bill was $43. The bill should have been $20 so I subtracted a star because the pricing for what you get here is ridiculous. If I ever make it back to Shippensburg, I won’t eat here even if I have a 50% off coupon.

Stopping off Interstate 81 at exit 29 in Shippensburg is a breeze, and it’s just a 5-minute detour that’s totally worth it. Their fresh-pressed corn tortillas filled with pork are delicious, and the burritos, stuffed with yumminess, were equally satisfying. The hot sauce is hot, and all the flavors are delicious. With fresh ingredients, fast and friendly service, it beats any fast food stop for travelers!

Affordable and quite flavorful tacos. Al Pastor tacos were not too sweet. Definitely a fast service type place, Salsa Verde was very good at this place. If I return to Shippensburg I will get the birria ramen.
