Still good! Waitress was really nice.
Previous: We had a really great time here! Donald, our server, was excellent. We did table side guacamole and he made sure it was exactly the way we wanted. The food was delicious, the music was fun, the decor is exciting, and we will for sure be back! Also, they have margarita *towers* so I’ll need some more friends to accompany me when I return.

So..it was our first visit. The hostess was warm and inviting. The waiter was stern and very short with his words but professional. Personally, I prefer a friendly waiter vs. someone who is stern. The chips & salsa were good. The steak nachos were…different…I’m not used to bell pepper strips on nachos….I requested jalapenos…of course, that was extra. The steak overall was good, but I wish it was more strips of steak instead of the random little steak pieces. The pina colada was huge and fantastic. The steak fajitas were ok…same comment about the steak…more pieces than strips of steak. I substituted black beans for Pinto beans, and they tasted very dry. I also do not like rice with peas and corn in it. The rice here has those ingredients, so I didn’t eat my rice. Major downer. For dessert, I ordered the apple chimichanga with high expectations. The outside was warm, and the apples inside tasted fresh and cold. It was quite gross. I attached a copy of the bill…$98.82. I can say that it was very disappointing for that $100.00. So, Sal y Limon is not a restaurant I recommend or would visit unless I wanted chips, salsa and alcoholic beverages.
My husband and I are frequent visitors to Amigos Cantina in Kirkwood and would highly recommend spending your money there. 1) Friendly service all around 2) quality steak 3) quality rice, beans, etc. 4) better value for your money.

This is a very nice place to get some Mexican food and / or drinks. The decor was nice. It was comfortable. The service was good but not great. I had a medium margarita. It was huge. It was delicious. The food was also good but not great. I will go again. I had a nice time. The chips and salsa were good.

Fantastic food, fantastic service, fantastic environment. I … mean… fan-friggin-tastic. Best Mexican food I’ve had in 10 years. They don’t have their liquor license yet (they will soon) since they literally just opened, so they GIVE you a free drink with each entree. That’s great service, they’re thinking of the customer first. Don’t let this one fail folks, and as long as you come once you’ll want to come again, I promise you that. Don’t miss out on this place. I got the combo fajita. It has perfectly seasoned and cooked chicken, steak, shrimp, pulled pork, and chorizo and peppers, piled high. They don’t skimp on the proteins either. Very very good! Oh and I almost forgot super reasonable pricing. Great place.

Had a wonder, Hot meal and ended the night dancing. Just hated the cold weather afterwards.
Parking was easy and close inside the garage.

The food here is good is definitely go back. Clean atmosphere. The only reason I’m giving three stars is because there is an off putting smell that my mother and I noticed once we walked in. Also the customer service from one of our waiters lacked customer service. But overall good food nice and clean

10 out 10 I RECOMMEND, AND BRING A FRIEND!! THE FOOD WAS MADE WITH, “LOVE”!!!! ME AND MY COUSIN G-MONEY HAD A BLAST!! THE FOOD WAS IN LARGE PORTIONS, REASONABLE PRICES, REAL MEXICAN ATMOSPHERE, AND I LOVED IT!! MY SERVER NAME WAS ARTHUR, GREAT JOB ARTHUR!! I RECOMMEND THE NACHOS WITH SHRIMP AND CHICKEN!!! AMAZING!!!!! 10 OUT 10 I RECOMMEND!! Ill be back for their Cinco De Mayo Day. Parking wasn’t a problem, they have a garage that’s literally in walking distance!

I’ve tried Sal Y Limón twice, and the margarita tower, chips & salsa keep me coming back. They have some great chips if you like a thicker chip, and the salsa has a great spicy level.
I’ve tried the fish tacos and while a little messy, they are really tasty!!! The nacho grande is also a great choice for sharing if you have 3-4 people and you want a light meal to go with a marg tower. A side of guacamole can also help round out the flavors.
They also have a late night menu from 10-1am on Fri & Sat!!!
