Inn on Turner – Oriental
EXCEPTIONAL! Visiting family and Danville Sub Shop tastes just as comforting as I remember. The service was friendly, food was fresh & flavorful and the delivery time — FAST! Hot food was steaming, cold food was chilled and the best part….no soggy sub. In a world of disappointing door dash this personalized service is a treat…..the delivery guy was super personable. Thank so much! :).

This place is quickly becoming my favorite sub shop. Buns are soft and fresh. Grilled chicken salad was a hit. Good variety and amount of fresh ingredients.

My favorite hoagies in the entire world! Anthony & Josh have brought back that great classic taste I remember when I first visited this classic spot in the 80s.

The subs here are excellent. Their seasoning is great on the subs and the meats, cheese, and bread were all fresh. Could have used a little more lettuce on mine but overall great subs.
Small complaint lies with the sides, the fried perogies were great but a little dry, could have used a sauce on the side or something like that. And fries were fine – could have used some salt or any other seasoning, they were very plain.

Food was delicious, and the smart young man running the counter that I placed an order with, was a pleasure to work with.

I have a long history with this sub shop, I worked here when I was a teen back in the late 80s while Tony still owned and ran the restaurant so it was neat going back for a sub now. The last time I stepped foot in the place was in ’92. I cannot believe the place is almost identical to when I last was in. A few coats of paint and some new equipment but the same lay out and counter. The food was very good but the only difference is I am now spoiled by homemade crusty Italian buns as opposed to the processed buns. Reminded me of hotdog/hamburger buns. The food was good though. We had cheese steaks with onions peppers and sauce. Very flavorful and filling. The gentleman behind the counter was soo sweet, he made out food as well. He talked with us for awhile and said he was Tony’s nephew so it’s good to see it stayed in the family. We would definitely stop back if we came back up from Harrisburg again. 56 years is a long time to have a sub shop ,,,,,good for them …I hope they last another 50 and beyond!!

My coworkers and I had food delivered, we called at 10 after 11 (11:10 and the food didn’t arrive until 12:55) While on the phone my co worker asked if they could give us the prices of each item we ordered so we would know how much cash to give them, some lady in the background yelled and said “we don’t have time to give them prices! We’re busy, she then was going to ask for menu’s so we would know for next time since there isn’t an updated one anywhere and they hung up while she was talking. Definitely not impressed and I haven’t eaten here for about 3-4 years so it’s not exactly encouraging to go back and support one of the better small businesses in Danville. Its a shame because I know they are better than this.
