Had a pepperoni slice; it came in a nice little box and the crust was crunchy, pepperoni on each bite & melted cheese. Hit the spot.

This pizza was hard as a rock and burnt on the edges for $14. Somebody lying giving this place a 4.3 stars!

I was given a day-old, partially reheated pizza. The crust was hard as a brick, the cheese was crusty, and it was burnt from being reheated.

Incredibly disappointing since I’ve previously ordered from here and received freshly made pizza. They did not even pick up the phone when I tried to call regarding this.

Retro Pizza in the French Market is an absolute treasure! The dough is a masterpiece, boasting a soft interior and a wonderfully crunchy undercarriage that elevates every bite. Their commitment to using fresh, high-quality ingredients shines through, especially in their thick, delectable cheese. It has quickly become a favorite spot for me near the office. Not to mention, the team’s hospitality is exceptional, adding to the overall experience. Their grandma pies are a must-try, delivering on taste and tradition. A solid 10/10 – Retro Pizza is a culinary delight that never disappoints.

An original take on pizza that’s definitely worth trying out for lunch or grabbing a snack or dinner on the way home. The pizzas and ingredients are fresher than most places I’ve tried. The sausage has a unique smokey flavor that stands out from the pack. The tomatoes and thick, fresh mozzarella make the perfect margherita pizza. They’ve got a good range of house specials, creamy mushroom, BBQ chicken, and the classics. And all of the pizzas I’ve tried satisfy the hunger without making me feel heavy. Again, Retro is worth trying for everyone, and you might find a new favorite.

One of the best pizzas in CHICAGO!!
I’ve lived in Chicago almost my entire life. I’ve had virtually every pizza from tavern to stuffed, south side Northside western burbs and I can say W/O reservation this is one of the best crusts in the city and fresh ingredients. Let me clarify this is super good and not just for a train station…in Chicago period! That’s a bold statement and I stand by it.

This pizza is fantastic. I come here for a Half Retro pizza is very much like a Supreme pizza, and it is always delicious. They cook it quickly after I order and it never fails to satisfy my hunger! I highly recommend!

New vendor at French Market. Stopped by for a slice. The dough is good and gets very crispy when they heat your slice. They do slices or whole pizza’s but a slice is just half of a whole. Rectangular Roman style. Decently filling for the price. I got a slice of the “Retro” style which came with a number of toppings. Was pretty good overall but nothing groundbreaking. The dough is the star of the show. Been a while since I’ve been to Bonci so hard for me to compare but they’re pretty similar with the biggest difference being the toppings. More American style toppings here at Retro vs the traditional Roman toppings at Bonci. Heavier on the cheese too. A welcome addition to this town’s pizza legacy.
