Had a wonderful time here! Music & environment was everything while we waited on fresh & hot food. Everything was full of flavor. Our waitress was very polite, courteous, & well mannered! She checked on us often & was really down to earth. Everyone wore masks. Not too many flavorful places around here…truly appreciated!

I called ahead knowing it would take awhile and they even called me back to let me know the food was done ahead of time. The young lady brought my food out to my vehicle and I’ll say it looked and tasted delicious! I’m not sure about the negative reviews but my experience was very nice! Saw them on Fox5 and decided to make the drive from Cobb County. I would recommend

My experience was okay. The service could use some help but it wasn’t the worse. I overheard an employee get upset with another employee and say a few choice words but not my issue.
I sat at the bar to allow time for my order to come out.. it was 2 ppl working at the bar and after 3, 4 or 5 mins, nobody acknowledged me and continued too have there on personal conversation. I finally, asked were they serving wine/beer to get their attention.
The fish was fried to perfection and was really good. The collards were good and tasty. The cornbread muffin was sooo delicious I could have ordered more (instead of the cornbread dressing that was bland) had I known. The macaroni and cheese wasn’t the worse but it was too cheesy for my liking. Overall it wasn’t a horrible experience and I would go back if I had a taste for southern cooking and I’m in the area

If you like your food season to the max this is the place for you.
♀️but not for me ♀️ the food was too salty the baked chicken was seasoned to the max.. the green beans taste as if they’ve been soaking in salt overnight.. the candy yams were too sweet and the sweet tea was not even drinkable because it was too sweet… Also small menu and the service is horrible.

I’m giving 4 stars because initially my score is 3.5 leaning more towards 4 reason being.. for starters the portions for the price point for what I ordered was extremely inflated. 2 wings and 2 sides for lunch was$12. Now if I had choices of breast, thigh etc… possibly but still high. Collards were cooked well, I like how they brine the chicken before frying which kept the chicken juicy. Mac n cheese flavor not to bad, the Mac was just too overcooked pasta wise. The ambiance is nice considering they’ve been open such a short time. I’m looking forward to them lasting in Conyers bc we definitely could use it and look forward to what’s in store. If you don’t have patience this isn’t the place for you. Staff was great, very friendly. I still didn’t get my peach cobbler bc it wasn’t ready. If you’re going to advertise it have it ready. I like the fact the food is fresh so be advised it’s cooked to order to guarantee freshness. The manager was friendly and impressive she informed us on what’s to come and I look forward to that.. I treated my mother to lunch and our tab was $46 for lunch specials and 1 to go order. To go portions are very small.. pros- clean, friendly, home cooking
Cons- pricey and small portions

First time visiting and it was a togo order which was ordered before I arrived. I ordered baked chicken, collards and Mac n cheese. The young lady took my payment and returned with my change and then proceeded to say I’m sorry but we don’t have any baked, but we can have it ready for you in 20mins. So, we left and came back to a plate with fried chicken. I proceeded to say “this is fried not baked” and she said, “I thought you were ok with fried”. No ma’am but I will take because I will not be back. My mom ordered a fish plate as well with cornbread, but the cornbread was left out of the plate. She advised the young lady that it wasn’t in her plate and the young lady said, “that will be $1.07”, even though she had already paid for it. The food was not all that and the piece of cornbread is just that a small piece of nothing. Sorry to say, I will not be returning.

I went here for the first time today and I was not pleased with the service or the food. I was ordering take out it took them 5-7 min to get to me then after I ordered I waited 45 minutes for my food. There was a regular client that came after me received her food before me. I asked a question about what they cook certain items with due to my daughter having a nut allergy, there resolution was to point me to a sign on there menu that state to notify if you have a nut or shell food allergy but won’t elaborate on the item that may use contain these items. The worst part about it was I didn’t get what I ordered. The yams was too sweet and the chicken had no flavor. Will never go back.

Takes 30 to 45 minutes and the food was subpar. The Mac n cheese was terrible and greasy. The mark of a good soul food restaurant is half decent Mac n cheese. This place missed the mark! The sweet potatoes was sitting in liquid sugar. The fried fish had an after taste. Won’t be returning.

I Had their Catfish special with a sweet tea and received excellent service; the Grits were cooked well and seasoned and the piece of catfish fillet was huge and crispy.
I most Definitely have to come back and get a two piece. A1

I went to Loretta’s kitchen yesterday we had to wait for our food over an hour. The food is over priced for what you get they charged for a glass of water and count the refills of tea. The cornbread was so small and a $1 if you wanted another one. My friend ordered catfish she received one small piece I will never patronize the restaurant.
