There was a line out the door when I left!
So I stopped back by for some blueberry muffins, they were all sold out by 930 am!

A blind 5 stars across the board for these folks! I absolutely love anything that I have had here, but the Almond Croissants, are AMAZING! I love that it’s kept seasonal and creative, fresh, hand made from scratch with lots of love of course, and you can definitely taste it, along with the great taste of butter! Such a hidden gem in the Mount Vernon area.

We got our wedding cake here and it was delicious! The complementary tasting was really helpful to figure out what flavor and style we wanted. We were pleased with how it turned out for our wedding. The only downside was that we ordered the cake a few months in advance for pickup anytime after 11am on the pick up day. But when we arrived around 11:15am on the day of pick up, we had to wait an additional 2 hours until it was ready. So may be best to call in advance, but other than that, the cake turned out great.

I ordered a custom cake for a high school graduation party! Not only was I thrilled with the cake, everyone at the party raved about it! Was the perfect centerpiece. And, the Pastry Shop was very delightful to work with, I did the order through email and the communication was clear and the baker asked me some good questions and had great suggestions. I will definitely be doing custom cakes for all my parties now! Worth the money, oh, and delicious!

Hello! my name is Eeman. I would like to complain that my mom ordered on email to your shop a square cake 10 days ago 3 layer vanilla cake, with black buttercream and golden splatter square for my brother 23rd birthday. The lady said “I couldn’t make it and I can only make a square only circle cake, I don’t get that how that lady is the manager. Last thing here an advice just for the employee read your email and if you are calling the person you need to listen with your ears. This is very unacceptable experience that my mom had not nice at all. 0/0 stars for service horrible so much horrible!!! next time is that if you mess up we are never coming back.

This bakery is a GEM! We worked by phone and by email and they really made our vision come to life. I had ordered a three-tiered custom cake for my brother’s military retirement ceremony. Aside from the tremendous size, the cake had details and difficult hues and they did a fantastic job. Additionally, the cake was ready on schedule and the flavors were delicious and exactly what we ordered. I would highly recommend Hollin Hall Pastry. Additionally, the artisan pastries in their display cases are all so beautiful, there’s so many choices! There’s also a delicious selection of sandwiches and coffees.

Very nice staff. Polite and kind. Food was great. Not a big shop but feel like a moms and pops store you remember as a kid. The demonstration and display of food is nice. Overall you won’t be disappointed. It is also kept clean and tidy. I will visit again. Maybe you could have like birthday giveaways? I didn’t ask about veteran discounts. Just an idea you could have a Veterans Day event. It is just an idea but it is a really nice place to sit and eat and have conversation with people. They also hold events that you arrange but not sure how many people can be at the venue at one time

I frequently order a whole cake from here for special occasions like birthdays, Mother’s Day, Christmas, etc. It’s delicious!! The last time I ordered was last year’s Christmas. I always order the same cake, DARK chocolate mousse cake. I always have to mention to the front desk associate to make sure the cake will be made in dark chocolate. I’ve spoken to several different associates there, and it seems like only one of them understands and will actually make a note for the chef to make it in dark chocolate. The others all tell me the mousse is already in dark chocolate, but nope they are not (according to the menu). I have received and ate cake that was not specify to the chef and when I tasted it I can tell it’s a bit too sweet. This is the only down side, which is the reason for 4 star rating instead of 5. The picture attached is the Dark Chocolate Mousse Cake with chocolate shavings <3
