Just went with my sister, and it was such a lovely experience! We went on a Thursday night (no reservation) and we basically had the whole place to ourselves. On the weekend though if it gets busier, I’d recommend a reservation because it was on the smaller side. We were seated with a couch, and the vibe was so cool. Drinks and food were SO GOOD. They have a lot of variety, and the prices aren’t bad! There was a live singer, as well, adding to the ambience. Definitely going back!

(I would recommend getting a reservation, read below)

A little hidden speakeasy in Trolley Square (I believe the only speakeasy in Delaware). For Delaware, it was pretty good! The drinks are great, prices are a little steep but fits the ambiance (which is amazing!). The meatball pizza and philly cheesesteak egg rolls were great. Also has live music from time to time!

Do wish the reservation was an easy Resy or Opentable, or even just integrated into google maps. It was a bit weird emailing a restaurant for a reservation, and hoping to get a response back. One time, they did not email me back so the day of I had to send a follow-up just to make sure. I’m sure they don’t miss these often, but sometimes its unsettling to feel that your plans are not guaranteed.

This is a really nice place for a date night. The atmosphere is unique, the food and drinks were really good and there was live entertainment. It started getting a little crowded, so the drinks took a while to make, but it’s understandable. You can tell they put a lot of effort into the drinks and food. Get the hummus!

Sho-nuf this speakeasy was an unexpected vibe. I had espresso and a mocktail, They were superb, Dom was the bartender and he concocted some tasty libations. The food was very good!

My husband and I went here recently and stayed for hours! We were from out of town and the service was spectacular and personal!!! You have to try the bread pudding because it is hot and served with ice cream – amazing! The ambience was just what I wanted from a speakeasy- dim lighting, candles, dark wood and antiques. The playlist before the band was in theme and fantastic. The other great thing is each table is unique and everyone has their own space so you are not sitting on top of anyone. Thank you everyone who helped to make our night! Definitely go here!!!

Such a fun place! Definitely a true speakeasy vibe. The drinks were prohibition style and I had the best chocolate espresso martini I’ve ever had. The staff is awesome. Make a reservation if you can because it’s a small space and they fill up quickly!

This is the best speakeasy in Delaware! The atmosphere is there from the moment you enter the secret entrance, to the nightly live jazz performances. They offer a year round signature cocktail collection as well as rotating seasonal menus. There are food options as well.

Of course! Here’s a polished review you can use for Hummingbird to Mars:

Hummingbird to Mars is such a hidden gem in Trolley Square! It’s a really cool speakeasy with an awesome, laid-back vibe that makes you feel like you’ve stepped into another era. The bartender was fantastic—super friendly and clearly passionate about his craft. He knew everything about the drinks and made some amazing recommendations. I also tried the hummus plate and it was absolutely delicious—fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. Between the atmosphere, great cocktails, and tasty food, this place is definitely worth checking out. I’ll be back for sure!

Bad experience. We reserved a table, I was on a date with a girl, and while we were sitting and eating, someone came up to us and said, you know, your table is reserved for other people, so you need to leave. I was honestly surprised, I had never encountered anything like that before. A pretty bad impression. As for the restaurant’s cuisine, the selection is small. In short, it’s not worth it.

Went 1/20/25 for drinks we were a party of three. Came to the door and talked thru the speaker. I felt like I needed a secret squirrel password to enter. We had reservations so they then come down to greet you and escort you upstairs. Nice atmosphere and live music. Boisterous and loud especially when the singer is on makes it a little hard to hear. The drinks are good and interesting combinations. They take a while to get to your table however they are good. I had a rose color glssses, my husband had two Brooklyn’s and one friend tried the Negroni and a vodka martini. 5 drinks ran us $72. Not too high for a cool place. I would return for sure
