Omg I love this place. I come here all the time — great food, great drinks, amazing service, and such a good vibe. The inside is beautiful with dark, red, cozy energy that makes you want to stay awhile.

Everything I’ve had has been solid, the drinks are strong and well made (the extra dirty martini always hits), and the service is consistently on point. Pro tip: get the salt & pepper wings. Trust me. They’re my all-time favorite — somehow a little sweet, insanely flavorful, and come with these seasoned peppers and onions that I’m always tempted to ask extra of.

This is one of my go-to spots in Canton. Never disappoints.

Tama, perfectly located between Milton and Canton at 2790 Washington St Ste B, is easily one of the highest-ranking places in the area across the most important categories: good energy, attentive service, great staff, and outstanding food. The moment you walk in, the atmosphere hits you — warm, vibrant, and full of positive energy.

The service is top-tier. The staff is incredibly attentive, welcoming, and genuinely focused on making sure every guest feels cared for. They create an environment that feels friendly, consistent, and professional every single time.

The food is excellent — always flavorful, fresh, and beautifully made. The drinks match the same high standard, crafted with care and delivered with style. One of the best things about Tama is that they’re always upgrading and improving — every visit feels better than the last.

If you’re anywhere near Milton or Canton and want a place that delivers excellence day after day, Tama is absolutely a must-visit.

Decent first time here. The tuna and sashimi were good. Feel like the hibachi was a little bland but our server was fantastic and the sake was nice too!

The atmosphere is okay but the lights keep flashing. The price is little high; the fish for sushi/maki are not too fresh and taste not too impressed. The server is not kind; she rushed to place the orders and no communications with customer at all.

Booth and bar style seating. Comfortable and clean. Ramen noodles bowls seems smaller than equivalent establishments but was a little deceptive as the bowls were quite deep. So after finishing we were not hungry at all. We went at night, the lighting was quite a strong shade of red color made reading the menu a little hard.

Came here for a quick bite. The ramen had an amazing rich flavor, I would recommend.

The edamame was cold . I will give a good review and potentially a second chance next November

Returned. This time everything tasted delicious, the classic Ramen flavor was a bit bland

Ramen was good, though I’ve had better if I’m being honest (but that won’t stop me from coming back or giving 5 stars).
Mocktails are delicious – especially the yuzu lemonade.
Atmosphere is great for a date night. Love the vibes.

Wonderful modern and comfortable setting with warm and friendly service. The veg roll was a fresh start and the Japanese fries were superbly crisp. The gluten free and vegetarian ramen were the highlights with a curry and miso sauce. Stir fried udon was perfect. Great quality and taste.

Very darkly lit, they take the bar side very seriously, I guess. Red highlights and limited lighting, it was empty at the opening when we came but picked up business as lunch time got busy. Service was okay, a little slow and we often had to wave service over for things.

The fried chicken wings were quite good, I do wish they had a little more of the salt and pepper to sprinkle on because the wings were quite large and middle of the wing ended up just tasting less savory than the start as all the spice was on the outside.

The miso ramen was okay, definitely not as rich in flavor as other places I’ve been, but the noodle was firm and the mix of corn, seaweed and bamboo was okay. The pork slices could have used a little more grilling to add flavor. I tried a bite of the spicy ramen, it was too spicy for me.

Overall not a bad place to grab some ramen, they actually have a drive-thru available as well… Probably the first time I’ve seen a drive-thru ramen shop. Needless to say, don’t eat ramen and drive…it’s going to be hot!

Tama is a great addition to a fairly desolate area of Canton. It’s at the edge of Blue Hills and is right on the main drag, not too far from the highway and also near Trillium Brewing.

They offer a variety of Japanese dishes including sushi, ramen, Teriyaki, rice dishes, and quite a few other things. They have a beautiful, long bar with plenty of seating and a decently sized dining room. The decor is sleek, and very red with beautiful lanterns hanging from the ceiling. It’s a tad dark in there however with little to no natural light.

The food itself is tasty – the crab Rangoon ($8.50) weren’t traditional but tasted good and the pan-fried pork dumplings ($8.50) were excellent. I also really enjoyed the eggplant skewer ($4) cooked in the Kushiyaki style which I thought was awesome.

The Tama TanTan ramen ($16.50) was interesting. It came with Spicy oil, egg, ground pork, onion, scallion, bamboo shoo, corn and overall it was a very solid bowl of ramen with excellent depth of flavor of the broth. The only puzzling element was the ground pork which I swear tasted like Italian sausage. My wife who had it agreed that it was a bit weird tasting and heavy on the fennel. It didn’t feel traditional and while it wasn’t bad, it also felt out of place.

Service was attentive and friendly and I look forward to returning and trying out more of their ramen and other dishes.
