I’m from NYC so I have only tried mostly Dominican, Cuban, Mexican, Peruvian or PR restaurants but this was my first time trying a Honduras style restaurant and I was pleasantly surprised! I’m a truck driver and usually only am around fast food joints but this is a nice proper sit down restaurant with a pleasant atmosphere. I was here for breakfast and ordered the 2 egg platter with ham steak, tortilla, beans, avocado, plantains, butter and cream cheese. Everything arrived on my table was fresh, the ham was a nice thick (1/2 – 3/4”) piece and the service was friendly with a smile. Also the portions were just perfect for breakfast. Not too big but enough to feel full and ready to start my day.

Quaint, simple restaurant with delicious Honduran/Latin American dishes. Try the baleadas and you won’t be disappointed. They are nice size, so 1 might just fill you up. I stopped in for lunch and ordered 2. I had Honduran roommates years ago and this brought me back to their cooking with the first bite.

So I want to share this I felt so uncomfortable dining here the two ladies at the the front as I walked in looked at me and didn’t even ask me anything yes they worked there. No direction on if I needed to be seated or seat myself no one said anything until my very polite waitress told me.. I ordered a drink got it right away. And 10 minutes I was finally able to place my order. I ordered Carne asada Ceibeña when it came out 30 minutes later It was super cold . Mind you I walked in with another dude he ate and left before I got my food . Not sure how LA works but the last time I felt like this was at a restaurant in Illinois when me and my boy were ignored because I was white and he was Puerto Rican.

yeah it’s a good place ONLY if i want to wait more than an hour for food. If you’re eating there expect to be there longer than an hour because their service is horrible, you walk in don’t even get greeted or seated. If you try to order online they’ll tell you 25 or 35 minutes for your food to take LONGER than an hour. They always do this, i call they tell me 35 minutes and i show up 20 minutes late on purpose and have to wait another 20 minutes inside just for me to get my food. If you’re going to give me a time tell me an hour or more but don’t lie to the customer and have them show up and have to wait way longer than the time given.

We did not realize an old favorite had shut down during COVID so wound up eating at a new restaurant in the same place.
While my chicken was overcooked, the rest of our meals were great. (They do not have water by the glass, so expect to pay for a bottled drink.)
