We stopped in for dinner and to try the beer. Before visiting Devil’s Backbone Brewing, I had already tried their Vienna Lager and that instantly has become one of my favorite craft beers. It is amazing. Based on how good it was, we had very high expectations as we walked in. The taproom was spacious and includes a kitchen that features a menu that is impressive for what breweries generally have available. The beer lived up to the high standard set into our minds based on the Vienna Lager. All of the varieties we tasted were at least very good. Several were simply outstanding. We wish we could say the same about the food. We tried the barbeque sandwiches and asked that they get prepared with no salt. They tasted all right and many people probably liked them, but for us, they were way, way too salty. It was a busy evening when we visited and were seated right away. While we were there, our table service was very good. In retrospect, we should have just come for the beers, and skipped ordering the salty food. The brews by themselves were well worth the trip.

Tasty beer and great food. You won’t be disappointed with any of the dinner options. The mac and cheese is huge and comes with a large dollup of pulled pork and the DB BBQ sauce is nice and spicy. The chicken sandwich was nice and crispy. The pulled pork sandwich is super juicy and tender; and if youre not a fan of spice you can get it with a mustard sauce which is packed with tons flavor. I definitely recommend coming here with some friends for food and drinks

Absolutely amazing experience! The brewery is beautiful, the atmosphere is welcoming, and the views are stunning. The beer selection was excellent with something for everyone, and every pour was fresh and flavorful.
The staff was friendly, knowledgeable, and made us feel right at home. Service was fast and attentive, even with how busy it was. The food paired perfectly with the beer and was delicious from start to finish.
This is a must-stop destination whether you’re a craft beer lover or just looking for a great place to relax, eat, and enjoy good company. We will definitely be back!

1-1-2026 – First time here and my experience was a good one. The waitress was nice and done a good job. I ordered fish and chips and it was amazing. The place was very clean and so was the restrooms. The prices are just on the high side but not outrageous. Overall this was a nice experience and a nice place. I recommend going.

To be fair, the pretzel was genuinely good – hot, enormous, lightly buttered – the kind of promising start to a meal that makes you feel like things are going to be great. Then you realize what you just committed to: $18 dollars with the queso. For a pretzel. Customers would be throwing chairs if it wasn’t amazing.
The pulled pork “sandwich” was where things went sideways. Someone in the back apparently decided that the appropriate amount of pork for a $14 sandwich was roughly what you’d scrape off a cutting board at closing time. And what little meat existed had been salted like they were trying to preserve it for winter.
Mentioned this sandwich situation to our server, who offered a look of concern. They kept it on the bill anyway.
Service was pleasant. The beer was fine: Cold and beer-flavored. Did its job. Sometimes that’s all you can ask for, and all you’ll get.

We sat at the bar; I had a beer and my wife had a bite to eat. The beer was very good and my wife enjoyed the food. We appreciated the look and feel of the place, and our bartender was friendly and helpful. Would stop back in when we are in the area.

We arrived on a Saturday in June around 12:00 PM. There is inside and outdoor seating. There are some nice mountains views outside. We were greeted immediately and taken to a table outside (which we requested). It wasn’t crowded when we arrived but within an hour all the tables were taken. Wait staff was good about picking up dirty dishes even if they weren’t your waiter – really appreciate this!!! I am a stickler about dirty dishes laying around. Our waiter was good although he forgot to put in part of our order. He did apologize. We got a couple tastes of drafts before deciding on one. We both ordered the Juicy Magic IPA which was very good. They were serving brunch as well as lunch.. My husband got the quiche that was on the brunch menu. It was vegetarian and good except for the excessive amount of a dried spice which appeared to be oregano. It was accompanied by a simple red onion and arugula with a light splash of vinaigrette. It could have used an extra splash or two because most of the time you were just eating plain lettuce. I got the shrimp tacos. There were three tacos full of large, lightly spiced shrimp on top of lime slaw. It came with tortilla chips and queso. The tacos were downright delicious. The shrimp were the perfect size and cooked just right. The chips appeared homemade and were tasty as well. My husband really enjoyed the queso but it was a bit too salty for me. And like a boomerang, we will be back!

I wish this place was closer to me! My husband, daughter and I stopped for lunch on our way through town. We both got the pulled pork sandwich and it was great! Their bbq sauces are SO good. The fries were hot and crispy. The place itself is spacious and modern. They had a high hair for my daughter which is always a plus! I ordered and IPA and really enjoyed it. I hope to be back one day.

Stopped here for lunch on the drive home to Orlando. We unexpectedly had a 20 minute wait for a table. No big deal. Waitress was inattentive. Took awhile to get water and a menu. Beer was good. My BBQ sandwich was good. My wife said the nachos were underwhelming. We will definitely stop again if in the area.
