Ordered some tamales ahead of time. So the time came to pick them up and they were NOT ready. I recommended this place to my co-workers but now we’re sitting here starving. We’ll NOT recommend again.

The reason for the 4 stars is the small filling portion and the price for them. But if the tamal gets thicker with Love the price is fine and the 5 stars pour in on their own.

These are Authentically hand made and cooked just right! With no masa sticking on the husk. Forget the Machine made tamales at Delia’s and other big chain Tamaleras these are awesome and delicious.

Tried the tamales compared to Delia’s. The dozen is a dollar less but dry and really skinny. Sorry but Delia’s is way better.

So, did Lupita change her recipe? Bought Chicken and Cheese, and pork and chicken. I am sorry but they do not taste the same. I have been buying tamales since 2016 or maybe earlier and I am sorry to say….they don’t taste the same. I know the tamales lacked meat…but I would buy for the taste. They used to taste like my grandmother’s tamales from back when I was a kid. I won’t buy again. Sorry!

These Tamales are great! Always hot and fresh . I tried the Jalapeno/cheese and The pork. Both were super tasty! Not to talk smack about Delia’s but these are and always been way better. They are a bit thinner ( not by much) than Delia’s but the flavor is exceptional. Delia’s is overrated. I need the Governor to try these! I hope they keep on with whatever they do back there because it’s working!

Around The holidays we usually start ordering and we love them But Today they had no taste and they seemed old , and very dry !!! We ordered 2 dozens of Bean and Cheese tamales and 2 dozens of chicken and cheeses !! I only ate 1/2 of the chicken and cheese and half of the bean and cheese I spent the night at moms who’s 92 to help care for her. . Mom only drinks her ensure and makes potatoes and her Tamales from HEB!! This is what she will only eat,so I wanted to surprise her with some from there . What a disappointment!! I think that they sold us very old tamales

This place is something else! Excellent customer service first of all. Then of course the tamales are delicious. They have great color and texture and of course flavor. I would say which is my favorite but they are all extremely good! The salsas hit the spot with both complementing all the tamales. Then last but not least just hit them with a hint of lime! Thank you the Lupitas Tamales for a wonderful experience!
