Chill coffee shop with a tin ceiling & counter seats for breakfast fare, sandwiches & lattes.

I regret never going here in the before (the fire) times and I really was never sure it was a cafe because of the signage. Fast forward to 2025, the place is all new, and owner Patrick gave a compelling interview on Citycast Madison that put this spot on my radar.
It’s really cool inside, you could shoot a movie in there. Make sure you look up. The ceiling is shiny and exquisite.
The coffee is from Anodyne, a fave from Milwaukee. You’ll love it. In case you are wondering, they have brewed iced tea too.
Everyone working there is super friendly and they play terrific music
I haven’t met Patrick yet, but I know I will eventually
10 out of 5. Recommend

I had the bacon, egg and cheese croissant today….Pretty comforting, last week it was my first time and it was packed, I sit at the bar and had a great conversation with Bunk which is a barista and also makes the food, today there was more space and I learned of a singer I never heard before, cappuccino was just what I needed. I felt very welcomed!

Cool spot! The glazed donuts where dense and so delicious! My new favorite spot for a glazed. Staff was easy going, polite, and helpful. Chill spot for a meet-up, light meal.

Great little East side coffee shop with Level 5 Donuts from Wednesday through Sunday, so delicious and vegan too! I love the coconut cold foam latte as well as the smoked salmon panini and waffles.
This is not a cookie cutter corporate coffee shop as stated by other reviewers. It’s locally owned by Patrick who is such a nice guy, neighborhood vibes, fun staff and music. I’ll definitely be back.

After all the rave reviews, I thought this would be a great place to grab a quick coffee and breakfast. The espresso drinks were quite pricey (even by this economy’s standards) and the breakfast sandwich was super bland. I’m bummed.

The Victory is the first coffee shop I entered in Madison that felt like my kind of place. Quaint, unique, cozy, small town vibes (across from a great bookstore too!)
The first time I went, I was having a stressful day job hunting but the owner, Patrick, greeted me, and made me feel welcome. He did more than say hi. He took time to ask about my day and hear about my job hunt.
Life got crazy, fast forward like a year and I’m on my way to Victory again and it is closed due to a fire!! I was devastated.
But! The Victory is up and running again and just as lovely. My siblings and I call it a vortex, because it’s like anything could happen there. We once found a leaf bug on our car when leaving.
The coffee is perfectly roasted with a slight bitter bite and the baristas will remember you and chat (if you want). Also, what is the deal with the Americana waffle??? It’s so frickin good. Go try it.

Cool funky vibe and great coffee. The barista recommended a turmeric latte of some sort and though I was quite hesitant I decided to try it and am super glad I did…super good. Also, the egg, tomato and pesto sandwich was super good too, the bread could have been a bit fluffier for my preference but it was still very good.

A yeasted waffle. I could tell the second I saw it. And now I’m sold on the place forever. A place that does a yeasted waffle is unique and doing the lord’s work. Additionally, my flat white (offered to me on the house as it was my first visit) was impeccable. The most immaculate shots I’ve had in awhile. And the playlist could not be faulted. What more do you need really?

This little shop brings the “neighborhood coffee shop” ideal to life. It was originally a no-wifi shop with the intention of being a neighborhood social hub where the regulars would chat, get to know each other, etc. It does have wifi now, and they accept cards, but the original spirit remains intact. The food menu is simple and delicious, coffee drinks are dang tasty, and the company is stellar. Sit at the bar if you’d like to chat with Patrick, the Brooklyn NY made owner (and artist), or the staff. Not feeling chatty? No problem! There’s never any pressure to chat.
