Quite possible the best food we’ve had at a restaurant. The lobster rolls were very good. The ice-cream is the best ice-cream I’ve had in years. The blueberry ice-cream was amazing. The vanilla ice-cream reminded me of ice-cream found in creamers in rural Pennsylvania. (My high bar for all ice-cream). The restaurant staff are nothing short of awesome to work with. We wanted an outdoor seating and they were very accommodating. When visiting Schoodic point, this is a must to have a lobster roll and ice-cream. Blueberry pie is also available, but I’m a huge fan of their ice-cream. Did I mention their ice-cream and how good it is? This location is only 0.7 miles from the ferry. The clamp chowder is really good too. Bowl licking good. Like “leave no morsel behind ” good. The history of this place is interesting.

This place was outstanding in every way possible . It’s a restaurant, bakery and ice cream parlor all rolled into one , with both indoor and outdoor seating. We went for breakfast and my wife had the ham and cheese omelette, she said it was the best she’s ever had . I had a breakfast sandwich on a fresh roll with bacon and cheese it was fantastic. The coffee was hot and fresh and really good . We purchased a few slices of blueberry pie to go . We highly recommend this place .

Came here for breakfast and loved the cozy atmosphere, the friendly staff, and the food! I ordered the Admiral Ben Bagel: Bagel with smoked salmon, cream cheese, tomatoes, onions and capers. I had already eaten half before I remembered to take a picture.

It was a great balance of salty, savory, a little sweet and sour from the tomatoes and capers. I also took a chocolate croissant to go. Would eat here again if we come back to the area!

This place was recommended to us by family who vacations in the area every year. We tried the Down East Lunch and it was absolutely delicious! We have been raving about it for the rest of our trip! The naked lobster roll was one of the best we have ever tasted. We highly recommend J.M. Gerrish Cafe!

J.M. Gerrish was a great lunch experience after a fun-filled day at Schoodic Point. We walked in about 25 minutes before they closed, and asked if it was too late to be served. They said it was no problem and to have a seat. We sat outside on the lovely front porch. The service was prompt and genuinely friendly. The lobster rolls were the freshest and most delicious we had in Maine. The waitress told us the lobster comes the co-op right down the street. We also highly recommend the blueberry pie. Following lunch, we walked across the street to the Winter Harbor 5 & 10 to buy souvenir t-shirts and other items we needed for the rest of our trip. So glad we stopped in Winter Harbor!

Really great food at a great cost! Market prices apply, but when we were here, it was $20 for a cup of clam chowder, a lobster roll, chips, a pickle, and a slice of blueberry pie. All of it was amazing. Highly recommend stopping here!

We both enjoyed it here. My milkshake was to kill for. My wife’s butternut squash soup was amazing. The sandwich and salad were as expected, although the bread was excellent. The waitress was a real sweetheart.
