WOW!! Returning from Heritage Village, Highway 127 Yard Sale, we stopped at “Morgan Brothers BBQ” (at the Rock house north of Pikeville and just before Heritage Village) for a late lunch.
Wow, the food was great! Excellent service, Tina made sure we constantly had their delicious sweet tea.
The atmosphere was very comfortable, clean and well organized.
Everyone was friendly and helpful. Very enjoyable experience with excellent food at very reasonable prices.
I had the “Philly Cheesesteak Fries”, which were an excellent combination of two of my favorite foods. The meat was tender and prepared to perfection, with a perfect balance of meat, peppers, onions, mushrooms and cheese. Chris had the “Wild Game Burger” with fries. He said it was delicious.
Highly recommended!! Especially if you like great food.

They have limited days they are open so we finally were able to try the food. The decor is every interesting! Lots of signs & the ceiling is covered with cereal boxes.
We got BBQ Pork Sandwich with Curly Fries, BBQ Brisket Sandwich with Okra & Sampler Plater: Ribs & Half a Chicken with Baked Beans & Broccoli Salad.
I personally sampled everything except the pork. It was all good. I like my Brisket! The BBQ sauces were good. I tried all 5 they had, including their ghost pepper sauce. It had heat, but the flavor was totally lacking. Their “hot” had tons of flavor and nice warmth. Mild was good. So was their “mustard” (mustard & apple cider vinegar) bbq… it was sweet.
Overall, it was good! Likely will try it again when in the area.

We had brisket nachos. Very good with lots of brisket. The only downside was that at this time, there was no in door seating. And out door is picnic tables and Very close to the road. Of course you can get your food to go.

I moved to Tennessee last year and have driven past this bbq place. Yesterday I stopped by and was not disappointed. Tina, my waitress was so helpful and friendly. Chatted with a few other customers and decided to do the bbq sandwich. I was not disappointed. A bit of heaven, even the Texas folk enjoyed their meal. I will be back for more!

Can’t make a new review, we revisited morgan brothers bbq just recently.
It was even better than last time. The sides were more delicious.
We got pulled chicken nachos(all the way), jalapeno ranch chicken and the brisket sandwich combo. It was all very tasty. We also got pumpkin roll but forgot to take pictures of that, it was good.
The jalapeno ranch chicken was our favorite, closely followed by the brisket. The nachos were unfortunately rather boring compared to the other two.
The briskets flavor was good enough it didn’t need sauce, I did end up adding some because it was a bit on the dry side.
Their standard bbq sauce is delicious but I preferred the vinaigrette with brisket since the vinegar helps balance the fattiness of the meat.
The mustard sauce was interesting but my least favorite out of the three.
The decor is way nicer than last year and I don’t think there was a bar area last year but there is now. Next time I go here I’ll take pictures of decor/bar area.

Ordered the bbq fries as a starter. It was great, it had pulled pork, bbq and a creamy white sauce on it. The fries were really nice and crispy too.
The bbq chicken sandwich was a bit on the dry side and the pulled pork was a bit dry too but the fat helped it. The buns were sweet, very tasty and tasted like they were grilled with butter. The bbq sauce was pretty interesting.
The sides were pretty standard.
Overall a pretty good meal, We’ll probably be back.

First time visiting was unsure of what to order and a very friendly customer recommended the ribs and fries. A very good call the ribs were delicious the fries was good also, we tried the beans and they were a definite no go for us. The beans tasted like they were straight out the can with some bell peppers and smoked pork put in them not the best I had and definitely not the worse. The BBQ sauces were very good I loved the hot BBQ sauce it wasn’t to hot but spicy. It made a good paring with the ribs

The pulled pork and ribs were good. I may go back. Not really my kinda potato salad or coleslaw. Not really a barbecue looking place either, just bland diner tables without napkins or paper towels, as what should come standard at all bbq joints.

Quaint little place with decent bbq. Brisket was tender and moist. Fried okra was deliciously fried and not greasy. Highly recommend if you’re in town.

Good for Tennessee BBQ. But if you were expecting TX BBQ you will be disappointed. I liked it and they have Buffet dinner on Friday 5pm…..I recommend if you are a local.
