Had a great lunch today at MJ’s Hollywood Bar & Food. They specialize in mediterranean food and offers several options for each dish. We tried the Garlic Chicken wrap and over a bed of rice. It was supurb! Thanks MJ for a great experience.

This place is awesome. Definitely had to try one of the one of the garlic chicken wraps after my gyro. Food and service is amazing.

Ordered a $13 lamb gyro rice bowl. The flavor of the fish tasted pretty decent. I was the only one in the building and waited around 25 minutes give or take. It did only have 5 little slices of lamb meat in the dish. The guy who served me was nice too. I’m not sure why he’d take a drink upstairs to the employees only area either. As far as atmosphere goes, it seems run down and the entrance isn’t easy to find. I wouldn’t recommend this place if you’re on your lunch break and want something speedy, or if you are wanting a real meaty gyro bowl.

Smells like stale beer when you walk in. I was the only person at lunch time. Kitchen didn’t know what the house dressing was. Ordered a small Greek salad. Took 20 minutes. Came with something white and rancid on top which I tasted on the tip of tongue. Still have a bad taste in my mouth. Could not eat it. No veggies as stated on menu. Came in a small paper bowl with a plastic fork. Pita was on a paper plate and had been microwaved. Television was blaring and wait person was watching something loud at the bar. When this was a Greek restaurant in Waukee the food was great. Extremely disappointed. Do not recommend.

Family-owned and operated (formerly known as Gazali’s in the Drake Neighborhood), this beloved restaurant is your go-to destination for fresh, flavorful Mediterranean cuisine. From perfectly crisp falafel and savory shawarma to tender gyros, smoky baba ghanoush, and decadent baklava, every dish is made with care—and it’s hands-down the best spot in town to satisfy your Mediterranean cravings.

The Gyros are so fresh and delicious! And the Dolmas (stuffed grape leaves ) are a tasty side dish. Also if you like hummus it would be the best you’ve ever had 🙂 The owner MJ is very inviting and hospitable .Scottie and Bob are both great bartenders. And it is nice that they engage in conversation and make people feel welcomed. Really good vibe in this place. What a great place to unwind.

This place was absolutely delicious! I picked up a group order and every single one of us RAVED about the food! Not sure if the bar meets the vibe of the food but I will be back to order take out food at least once a week if I can! SERIOUSLY try this place! So amazing! I have a Traditional Gyro and half way through I was full! It was so good just one bit in and I knew I would be returning to this resturant! Such a great addition to our town! Please try this place so they can stay in Adel! The owner MJ answered my text order promptly and made sure it was correct, fast order and talked with me when I picked it up. Seemed like a very nice and humble guy! Excited to see what this place will turn into!!!

The food is outstanding. The gyro and garlic chicken wrap were great, as well as the hummus. Tzatziki sauce is great as well. Great chicken sandwich for the kids, too. Great prices. Loved talking to MJ! He’s working hard to get it up and running.

Unassuming bars atmosphere with top shelf Mediterranean. Grape leaves were well seasoned and the texture was divine. We had 3 wraps, all delicious.
