We really, really enjoy spread especially the Bryn Mawr location. The food is great and fresh. The service is always Pleasant even when it’s busy. And the wait time for the food really isn’t awful unless it’s like before noon on a Saturday or Sunday then you really need to a lot some time for your pick up but otherwise this company is definitely worth the extra two dollars you pay per sandwich compared to Manhattan bagels crap product. They even make a GREAT cup of Joe whether your grabbing a red-eye or a latte or a cappuccino it’s awesome and always HOT

Bagels are amazing however, the wait time makes it almost not worth it. I’ve tried both ordering ahead and ordering in person and you are waiting 30 plus minutes for a bagel with cream cheese… plan ahead when ordering from here and leave at least 30-45 minutes in your schedule to allow for the wait period for this specific location. Not to mention my toasted bagel is freezing cold from the amount of time it sat out of the toaster to the time they were able to put cream cheese on it.

Bagels are made fresh on-site – need I say more? My go to is an everything bagel with whitefish salad, lettuce, tomato, and a dash of black pepper.
The bagel had a crisp outside and was jam packed with seeds and seasonings on the outside. The interior of the bagel was good; chewy and light, not that dense dough you can get sometimes.
The garnishes were definitely fresh for the day – the lettuce was super crisp and the tomato was juicy vs slimy. 10/10 surpasses my previous favorite deli for bagels.
Atmosphere was banging only probably was furniture was a bit stained. Music was AWESOME.

Ok so this is a weird one.
I placed an online order for pick up.
When I got home, I realized the order was incorrect. I was extremely frustrated and at the same time I received a text to rate my experience.
Within 15 minutes, the manager, Dawn, called me. Next thing I know, she’s hand delivering the correct order for us.
It was really appreciated that they went out of their way.

Had so much potential! Staff was great, wait was way too long for a single bagel with butter. Finally received the bagel only to find out they have 1 type of jelly that I’m allergic to! Never been to a bagel shop that didn’t have other options especially GRAPE JAM OR JELLY! Well to my surprise once I tasted this 4.77 cent bagel I threw it in the garbage because it was DISGUSTING! Stale and no taste! The super market has better tasting bagels. I definitely know for next time! Sorry, not sorry. This place should be ashamed of itself!!!

I am so glad that Spread has been discovered by enough people to spread outside of the city into several locations. I think Ardmore was their first Mainline location to open, years ago now. Montreal-style bagels are brushed with a honey and water mix and cooked in a wood fired oven. The combination results in a beautiful densely topped bagel with just the right amount of chewiness. The fresh cream cheese is also awesome. Simply Superior! They also now have a partner to provide gluten free bagel dough options, but you you have to order these ahead, so I am thinking these are more for catering.

Went there today for first time, ordered a salted egg bagel, toasted, with bacon-maple cream cheese. Sounded like it would be good, but after leaving and opening the wrapper I discovered a bagel hidden in a pound of some sort of goo. The texture & taste was ok, like just ok, better than Dunkin’ I guess. The mess was insane, 90% of the cream cheese was scraped off and I still had too much, got everywhere. Pass

I’ve come here 4 times. The first two were great. The second was meh. This last time was horrible. I ordered a BEC, and the cheese was hard and not melted, there was only a thin sliver of egg on the sandwich. It was absolutely horrible. Gotta go get my money back

I ordered online at 11 AM because I know the line can be long. I waited a while, and finally asked about my order after a long wait. I was told my online order was cancelled because they didn’t have the type of bagels I ordered. They only had Everything and Sesame left – at 11 AM on a Sunday?? Anyway, I’m not sure I was supposed to know my order was cancelled, and I was supposed to talk to them as soon as I came in. I did not know this, so I wasted my time just waiting for my cancelled order.
They finally put in my order, but I really don’t think they put my order in as a priority, and I heard many more orders filled before mine, even though now I’ve been waiting/had ordered 40 minutes ago at this point. I wouldn’t have written a review, because things happen, but my daughter’s bagel sandwich was clearly burnt. It’s just the last straw. I would never give anyone a bagel this burnt unless they really requested it like this.

Spread Bagelry has good food and good staff members but the staff members frequently miss 1 item on customers food orders. Missed mine and another customer while I was there for 5 minutes
