Even if you don’t drink, you will enjoy the meals here. I live close by but never dine at this place. We were going to check out the new hotel Somm, but they were too packed. Since it was already dinner time, we decided to stop by this place to grab dinner. I’m very familiar with Hollywood Schoolhouse, but didn’t know this bistro served such great food. It’s a small bistro, but offers various dishes. We ordered Paella and chicken Popeyes. Both were delicious and weren’t too salty nor greasy. I will definitely come back.

Food is good, we like their seafood dishes. Just make sure you have a reservation or not sit outside without a shed. We had dinner there around 6pm, almost melt while eating outside without the reservation. The inside table was super cold under the AC.

Wonderful spot in the heart of wine country! Fun atmosphere with open kitchen, roll up garage doors and outdoor seating with fire pits. We ordered the fried Brussel sprouts, the lamb burger, the derby burger and the spinach salad. Everything was delicious! The guys ordered their famous French onion soup too but they dove in before I could get a photo! Easy parking too! Stop by- you won’t be disappointed.

There are plenty of outdoor tables, but few are equipped with heaters. We enjoyed live music and were fortunate to secure a table indoors, as it was extremely cold outside. I selected this restaurant specifically for its cioppino, which I had been craving. My children opted for burgers, which turned out to be excellent. The ambiance was pleasant, and our waitress was friendly. The food was decent—though not exceptional, possibly due to my high expectations. For wine enthusiasts, this place might be a hit (we didn’t sample any, but it was clear that it was popular among the other patrons).

7-29-17 update: Posting a few more photos. Still an amazing place. We love coming here. Always great food and friendly service. The bread/butter plate ($3) has potential, but only if they changed the bread. It is not amazing. The “butter balls” and heavily-garlic-ed olive oil (amazing!) they serve with the bread are great, but the bread itself is a let down. Check out Tandem Wine Bar (other side of the valley, 4 minutes away) if you’re a fan of fresh/warm/chewy bread Anyway, The Bistro always has great specials, perfectly prepared sandwiches, great fish and chips, and juicy burgers. It’s at least a monthly stop for us.
Great sandwiches, cheese platters, salads, deserts and WINE. Not a huge selection of wines, but there’s no point in that. This bistro is bookended by two fantastic winemakers (J. Bookwalter, Market Vineyards, and Amavi Winery), not to mention the other two dozen wineries that are within a short distance, so come here after tasting elsewhere (or before). Or, come here for lunch or dinner and enjoy what they do have on their condensed wine menu (all the wines they have by the glass are very, very good). Outside seating is half of their seating area, so bring a blanket if it’s going to be a cool evening (there’s only two fire pits for ~15 tables). They will bring your food to the other 20-25 tables that cover the three adjacent wineries, so you will not be hungry no matter where you sit. Enjoy!

Wow, absolutely loved my lunch at The Bistro. Will definitely be back! I took my professional camera along to get an inside perspective of how awesome this place is. The cooks are like family; you can tell tons of love and care is in every plate they serve!

Wife and I were just looking around for a new place to try. We walked by the Hollywood and were directed toward the bistro in the back. Wow are we surprised. The food was spectacular. The service was amazing. It has such a great field.
