The only thing “Grimm” about this place is the name. We met friends for dinner on a Friday night around 7pm and was concerned there would be a wait, based on Google’s estimate the place was “as busy as it gets”. When we pulled up, there were several people but we were able to walk right up and order. It was a pleasant night so we were able to grab an 8-top table outside. The food was fantastic! Everyone loved their burgers and they are big. I had the Gravedigger with pimento cheese and fries on it. We got an order of the Reaper fries to share and it was huge and delicious. Personally, I think they could have gone a little easier on the sauce but still really good. The only weird thing was an up-charge of $0.50 to remove onions on my wife’s burger. Really? They have a great selection of regional beers and several on tap. Though they don’t wait on you, the service was also great and everyone friendly. This place is a little off the beaten path, since you cannot see it from the street, so it is truly a hidden gem. If you love great burgers, grommet fries, and a place that feels like going over to a friend’s house, don’t miss Grimmburger.

The reviews did not disappoint! The burgers are in fact juicy, full of flavor and priced well. The Reaper Fries were huge and super flavorful with the right balance of heat. Went earlier on a Friday night and there was plenty of seating but filled up quickly. Definitely will be back until they add a location in Leland : )

I had been craving a hamburger for awhile. I looked at the reviews before going. I look at both the 1 star and 5 star just so I go in expecting average. I got to say my experience was great. I ordered a Carolina reaper with fries. The hamburger wasn’t too spicy but had a kick and the cheese was cheesy, buns were soft. The fries were they crispy just how I like them.

I was told earlier today that they have the best burger in town. So why not, let’s try it out. You order at the counter, get a numbered marker and sit down. Their basic burger is a “smashed” double patty, build your own. I kept it simple the first time, cheese and mayo on the side. Also, an order of onion rings. It was a good burger. I wouldn’t call it great. It’s a few steps above fast food. The rings were tasty. All in all, would l go out of my way – no. But if l was in the area – yes. 3.5 to 4 stars.

Seems lime a lot of places I used to like, have fallen into this category. Beat street, Mess Hall, and now Grimm burger…first few bites are good, then ALL I TASTE IS SALT! Even if you dont get the fries, the patties themselves taste like a pound of salt was used.
Seems odd to me that Wilmkngton has such a hard time making a good burger, or maybe its just me! Good thing I know how to cook!

I wish I could give it 10 stars, soooo delicious. The burger had a great smash burger consistency, juicy, good bun, and fries were seasoned perfectly. Plus lots of good sauce options. We also couldn’t get over how friendly the staff were, from being greeted to thanked when we left, 11/10. We will save this as our favorite burger spot in wilm.

THE best burger joint in Wilmington. Smash style burgers. The pattys have pheno flavor! And so juicy. I had the gravedigger which includes pimento cheese which was (chefs kiss) perfect.
The bread has a soft and buttery texture and taste. I can’t say enough about he food here. it’s truly just, GOOD. The burgers are very filling. Fries are perfectly seasoned and go GREAT with the G Sauce that says a lot coming from a ranch connoisseur. The atmosphere is very new and laid back. They have awesome shirts, stickers, and hats for sale. Staff was friendly and service was fast! Will DEFINITELY be back when we come through again.

Really solid burger, great fries, and decent cheese bites. Got the Carolina Reaper burger and do not regret that one but. Tasty with heat, just want I like. Also had a decent beer selection with a couple I had never heard of. Would definitely recommend!!
