Small, casual place to get a drink and listen to some jazz. $10 cover to get in at the door (cash or card). The entrance is very unassuming so you’ll feel like you are at some secret club. No minimum drinks. It’s small enough they don’t even bother with a microphone. Comfy seats at the edges. Music starts at 8 and I recommend showing up a little early to get seats that aren’t right in front.

cool spot, loved the vibes inside. cover was $10/ea which i understand given the size of the space & limited seating. had 2 gimlets, one with lime and the other (unexpectedly) with lemon which was not what i was wanting – some consistency would be good 🙂

We heard about this place from a server upstairs. Otherwise I don’t think we would have even known it was here. It’s so neat when buildings have smaller hidden away rooms that get turned into small speakeasy type bars. Though this building was designed with this exact idea in mind. The drinks were delicious, the wait staff was friendly and the room design is mesmerizing. A small 3 piece jazz band setup and played some tunes while we were there as well. Great place for drinks on a date before dinner. We’ll be back for sure.

Cool space. Always decent jazz. The crowd sometimes talks a lot when the band is playing, but that’s ok because it usually reaches a point where the band and the crowd are just having one giant conversation together.
If you’re new to jazz, you may have an instinct to clap after each little solo. As a regular I implore you to hold your applause until the end of the song

Very cute bar. Drinks are expensive but it has great views. The Staff was friendly and responsive. Street parking is a bit difficult. It’s accessible by elevator and seemed wheelchair friendly but there are no automatic door buttons.

We drank through the entire menu (humble brag) and liked everything we had! Bartenders were very nice and the jazz was excellent. 5/5 would do again

what a cool place!! it’s attached to a sandwich shop, which is fun (and delicious). it’s moody, it’s loud, it’s not fussy. intimate and lively at the same time. idk how they manage, but i’m grateful they do! you can see the show from two places. i’ve never been anywhere like it. i will definitely return.

Music was great! The drinks were well made, but only one bartender so the line got to be a really long wait. Get there about an hour early to get a seat. There wasn’t much room to dance when we were there, but the regulars said there are times with few tables and room to dance! Well worth a fun evening!

Jimmy Can’t Dance is an intimate, dark space reminiscent of a place I’ve only seen in movies. Not fitting a particular era but feels like home. The staff was super attentive, friendly and knowledgeable about alternative drinks. The music was fantastic. I highly recommend it. I look forward to going back again.
