We stopped by 4th Street Bar before a Southern Miss football game on a recommendation. It was myself, my 10-year-old, and my college kids, and since two of them are 21, we just sat at a high-top instead of the bar.
Several TVs showing different games, Wasn’t too loud, the food was really good (not just typical bar food), and the service was fast. Even with the big and friendly crowd (It has a neighborhood bar vibes) before the game, everything ran super smoothly to make it in time to watch the team warm up before the game.
I’m putting this place on my list of “gameday spots to eat”

Typical bar atmosphere. We visited on a Sunday afternoon. 4-5 people in the bar. Bartender was very pleasant. There are 4 pool tables in a different area from the bar. The tables are $1/game and pretty worn and not kept up (dusty, torn felt).

This is one of my favorite Dive Bars in Hattiesburg. Lauren (the bartender) is a great and always makes the best drinks. Always a fun time at this establishment.

Could definitely use a good cleaning. Bartenders were friendly but also unprofessional. Wearing flip-flops and smoking regularly. Would classify this bar as a locals hole in the wall for sure.

Place is a bit rowdy for me. Had a guy OD outside and the police and an ambulance arrived. Things weren’t looking good for him when they hauled him to the hospital, he wasn’t breathing for quite a while. Overall way to much drama for me. Beer was cold though.

-10 Rating!! Please do not patronize this business‼️ They seemingly don’t welcome diversity. Myself and a few friends visited for Super Bowl and upon entering we could feel the unwelcoming energy. The 1st bartender didn’t acknowledge us for a while and when she did it was very cut and dry, rude, she seemed agitated by our presence and when asking questions we were partially ignored and when she did respond it was condescending. Second bartender felt she could talk to you any kind of way but immediately played victim when the energy was returned. Not to mention the racist remarks made by one of the male workers. I WILL NEVER visit this establishment again and encourage others to stay away! Long story short this is a very racist establishment‼

I’d give 0 stars if I could on the atmosphere and service. My friends and I have had nothing but problems here. One of them was jumped in the bathroom and WE had to call the cops to make a report. You’d think security would’ve done that as soon as it happened? Then a few nights ago a friend of mine got into a small argument about a vape with a bartender named Roman who wasn’t working that night, and he threatened to kick her out over a vape. Very unprofessional! Even if you’re not on the clock, you still represent that business especially if you’re in that building. I do NOT recommend this place, PARTICULARLY at night. I’ve met the owner, and he’s a fair professional man but the employees are very unprofessional and extremely disrespectful. I will not ever waste another dime here. As for the owner, he’s a good business man, just has a hard time hiring decent employees sometimes.
